I'm also curious as to why the liquid is clear and not blue! Who can we contact to verify authentication? This was not a cheap purchase!

Q: If this is the 'same' (medicated) obagi as my dermatologist sells if prescribed, then why don't i need a prescription for the same formula via amazon?

The toner as a standalone product is non-prescription. If purchasing the Obagi Nu-Derm System with 4% hydroquinone (which contains the toner), then you would need a prescription.

Item was received in good condition the only complaint I have is that the bottle was not sealed. Item is not cheap at least I expect some sense of security when buying a product that is sealed and have double security.
