Works with IBS
I have had IBS all my life and about 8 years ago started using an herbal laxative that seemed to keep me regular. However, now in my early 50's, my Dr. after doing my colonoscopy said, he wanted me to stop using the herbal laxative. I am not sure why, (or even if it was harmful) but my colon was gray in color and not pink from the herbal product. Needless to say, I was in a panic as I had never found a product that kept me regular like this herbal one. Two weeks into taking the Citrucel (8 pills per day spread out from 6 AM to 10 PM) has been working great! No stomach pain or excess gas etc. If you suffer from IBSC that then turns into IBSD, you should give Citrucel a try.

Does the Job - Highly Effective
Citrucel does a fine job for ensuring bowel regularity, better (at least in my case) than some of the powdered fiber products on the market that I've tried. These are large pills but I have no trouble swallowing them, although others might. The calorie count isn't indicated on the label - some powdered products contain up to 30 calories per typical dose, and I wish I could compare them with Citrucel. In any case, calorie values shouldn't be high enough to be a significant concern for most people. Label advice is to take these pills with at least 8 oz of water - I just can't force myself to do this, and I get good results anyway. Drinking water with the pills may well increase their effectiveness, however.

Great price for two bottles
I normally buy these at Costco. But lately Amazon's price on two bottles has been much lower than Costco. I like the tablets better than the powder, but they're not always easy to find.

Works As Expected
I use the Citrucel fiber to add additional fiber into my diet per my doc's suggestion. I find that the pill version is much easier to take compared to making up one of the thick Citrucel drinks if you are using the powder. In the past I would mix the powder into my morning blend of juices and that works fine too without affecting the taste of the veggies / fruit I juiced.I do think it's a little on the expensive side, but it seems most of these products are.

Does What It Says
It works, but doing so has been variable for me. 2 tablets did it the first time, then not the next 3 times so I took it twice one day. Then it worked a "little too well." Thankfully, I was at home. I switched to Citrucel two months ago from two other generic, non-fiber constipation brands -especially when I am first travelling overseas- which were Docusate sodium based. I switched because Citrucel (claims) 500 mg of fiber per pill. Fiber is an equally effective colon cleanser and, when used on a regular basis, reduces the incidence of colon cancer. I now use 1000 mg of Citrucel 1-2 times weekly for this purpose regardless of travel, plus it aids in flushing my colon.

This size is the Best!
I like them because they have no taste, they go down easy with water and they work well.

Move those bowels!
This stuff is great. One of my doctors said he prefers the power version, which is supposed to be advantageous in some way, maybe more efficient. However, this one is easy for me and works. Honestly, since being diagnosed with IBS and starting these, I really don't know how to go more that a day or two without them. Running out is the only problem i have!
