I Getting a buzzing noise Is that normal?

Pi seem to get a buzzing sound occasionally when it is very close to my cell phone. Maybe some kind of interference but as long as cell is a foot away from unit, it works fine

just how durable is this device as I can't afford a second one senior 85 yr.old

It is small & light enough to withstand most drops. Don't leave on clothes headed for the wash or drop in bath or toilet. It amplifies ALL sounds, not just what you want to hear. Quite durable with common sense. Earphone would be most likely to fail and they are cheap.

Very well reviewed in the US store these seem unknown in the UK.Bought for a 90 year old grand mother who refuses a hearing aid. This has changed her life and ours! No need to shout constantly and she's now considering a hearing aid.The device itself is cheap and cheerful but does an adequate job, the earpiece supplied isn't very good but it's a standard headphone socket so any other earpiece or headphones can be used.If you or a relative has hearing problems then I'd highly recommend this before splashing out hundreds on a fully equalised and balanced system.
