Is there a plug to keep the straw hole from leaking if there is no straw in it?

There isn't a plug, but it has a silicone "+" shaped gasket that you shove the straw through (similar to fast food lids). It is thick enough to prevent an accidental spill, but if a full drink is laying on it's side for too long, the liquid will seep through it.

Is the mouth wide enough to work with an aeropress?

The double wall insulation makes the Iron Flask Tumbler sweat-free! It keeps your drink COLD for up to 20 hours, and HOT for up to 5 hours (depending on size).

Is ironflask American made?

I don't see anything on the cup, or on their website, that states where the products are made. So probably China.

Is there any give to the straw, like with rubber or softer plastic, or is it pretty rigid? Thx

It is pretty rigid but I only used it a few times. I have used the flask for mostly coffee and not to drink from the straw. Not sure how it will be after regular use.
