Powerful, easy to use, surprisingly light and fast.
This is my first air powered fastener of any kind, so my review on it will be from that perspective.I found it to be powerful, easy to use, surprisingly light and fast.It is a very specialized tool, meaning it’s hard to find staples for it locally, but you can find them here on Amazon.I suggest going with the Eagle company, as I had problems with prebena.Read the reviews carefully [if they haven’t shed them somehow, they do shed them!] on buying staples, it can be tricky, this gun needs the Senco Style staples, if it doesn’t say “Senco” don’t buy it!!!, even if it’s the same exact size staple you gun uses, there’s like 2 or 3 different types of staples of the same size that can trip you up, getting stuck with 10k staples you can’t use is no fun.Oh, and don’t worry about buying that may staples, it may take years to use that many, but you will use them if you use the gun on a regular bases. And as far as fasteners go, you can’t beat the price of a 2” staples over screws or even nails. This gun is a bit pricey, but if this is what you need for the job then buy with confidence as this is a good product.[I build chicken coops and fixed my RV with it as this is exactly what they used to build it when it was new!]Hope this helps

Very satisfied, rough choice between the Makita and the Hitachi ...
Very satisfied, rough choice between the Makita and the Hitachi sold me ., but the longer Guarantee and lighter weight with Hitachi sold me. Besides I used Hitachi Framing guns 20 years ago on the job 10 hours a day with very good service. It's no wonder you rarely see a Duofast framing gun any more. I used to have 5 framers and two coil nailers and a wide crown - all Duofast. I had about 20 pneumatic guns and at least 15 were Duofast, and heck you can't even get a Duofast fixed nowdays. Yes I highly recommend the Hitachi Wide crown stapler and any other Hitachi tools. I also have three Hitachi Cordless 18 volt lithium ion drill drivers and two Hitachi 18 volt lithium ion 1/4" Impact drivers, which I can purchase parts for and rebuild. One of my older drill drivers and impact needed a trigger switch (DC voltage control & forward/ reverse switch. It's not good to leave them outside for extended periods of time. Once again and I'll stop -VERY HAPPY WITH HITACHI

Hitachi 1" Crown
I purchased this to speed up the installation of insulation board. It works as described. I use 135 psi in order to get the staple crowns to be driven flush. We have tried the depth adjustment for other material and it seems to work fairly well. It is not heavy duty, but adequate for most medium jobs. Make sure you check to see if the stables you will be buying will fit your stapler. Most are too wide in the crown and will "drag" on the staple guide. For light to medium work this will work fine. It has some injected (plastic)part that can be broken.

Only *Hitachi staples work but, it's worth the switch! I'll add a star after a few more cases of staples in the proving-grounds.
I love these guns! After 20 years or more with my good old Bostitch 1" lathing staplers, I made the switch. Fantastically light, reliable, powerful and, a momentary joy while throwing around stucco bags during a remodel day. I've already known other contractors and friends alike, who've been using them without fail for years. My only mistakes are not buying it earlier, and having to begrudgingly use up the more than 2500 Bostitch staples I have left in my old guns. That's right- only Hitachi (or Hitachi style) 1" staples go through this new gun.

RAPID FIRE BEAUTY!
THIS HITACHI N5024A2 2 INCH 16 GAUGE WIDE 1" CROWN STAPLER IS COMFORTABLE,LIGHT WEIGHT, TOP LOADING, LIVES UP TO IT'S REPUTATION OF EXCELLENCE. THOUSANDS OF ROUNDS FIRED AND NOT ONE JAMMED STAPLE. A LITTLE OIL IN THE CHAMBER AND A LITTLE SILICONE SPRAY ON THE MAGAZINE AND THE ONLY THING THAT WILL HOLD YOU BACK IS A SLOW COMPRESSOR. I'M A GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND HAVE BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK MORE THAN ONCE AND THIS LITTLE BEAUTY WOULD SATISFY THE US MARINE CORP IF IT FIRED BULLETS.IF THERE IS ONE SETBACK IT IS THE 90 DEGREE ANGLE THAT PREVENTS IT FROM GETTING INTO THOSE REALLY TIGHT UNDER THE WEEP SCREED TYPE AREAS. IT'S WORTH EVERY DIME AND SETS A STANDARD OTHER TOOL MANUFACTURES SHOULD FOLLOW. DON OUT.

The stapler works great! Looking forward to many years of service
The stapler works great! Looking forward to many years of service. Should be a great time and labor saver. The only negative is it doesn't seem to want to recess the staples. Probably due to the size of the staple-lots of surface area. Great product!

Disapointed
Gun is used assembling pallets stapling into 2x4's with 1" Crown x 1/2" Leg 16GA Galv Staples and did not even last 2 weeks before it became unusable with jamming issues. Tried using 1" Leg Staples; they do not jam. Still disappointed as we purchased this gun to shoot 1/2" Leg Staples and it just will not do that without jamming.

Works great without jambing.
I got this to aid in the remodeling of an old camp trailer. The frame is stapled together using roofing staples and it's the easiest way to repair it.The staples feed freely and I have yet to have a jamb. Be sure to keep it oiled with a couple drops of pneumatic oil down the air inlet before each use. Keeping it lubed will save pain later. My biggest problem is that staples are only available in boxes of 10,000. I need some shorter ones but won't use that many in 2 lifetimes.
