We’re Flexible: Padlette was designed with flexibility in mind. Our designs are compatible with all tablet brands and models, from Apple iPads to Kindle Fires to Surfaces and Galaxy Tabs. Padlette is versatile and offers wide functionality. There is no single way to use it so experiment and discover your favorite finger holds and hand positions. Peace of Mind: There are two basic approaches to tablet protection: one is to ensure that you never drop your device. The other is to minimize the damage when you drop your tablet. Padlette takes the first approach. You can finally let go of the fear dropping your device. After more than 10 years we have yet to hear of someone dropping their tablet while using a Padlette. Keep it Simple: Padlette takes only seconds to put on or take off but once attached, it stays put. We challenge the competition to a security test whether glued on or another corner-to-corner holder. Padlette will be the one left standing after the shake test. Of course, there are other tablet accessories that aid one-handed tablet use so it is important to understand how Padlette is different. Most other tablet handles employ a “case” solution or a “glove” approach (or both). Keep it Light: Many hand straps simply build a holder into a case. This approach adds unnecessary weight to hold. Why do cases get heavier as tablets get lighter? Beware of the case trap. Holding your tablet should be both comfortable and secure. A holder that is part of a case is just more weight in your hand. Although Padlette can be used over a case, we recommend you keep it light-- keep it mobile. Keep it Clean: Some accessory makers think the thing to do is to glue their product to your iPad. That is a hard sell. Not only can glued holders come unglued, but such tablet alterations are limiting, unnecessary and, okay, unattractive.

Great, simple solution. Yes, works fine with bulky cases
Pros:**Easy on, easy off**Transferable among multiple types of full size tablets (probably too tight on Surface Pro).**Does what it intends - allows for secure grip for tablet.**Works fine with or without case. I have otterbox defender for my ipad 4, and I can even snap the front shell cover on with the Padlette still attached.Cons:Agree with many that it's too tight, and I have fairly small hands for a guy. Gets uncomfortable after a while. That's about it. But it's uncomfortable enough that I had to deduct a star. Hopefully they come up with something to address this.EDIT: changed from 4 stars to 5 after using it a couple of weeks. It's possible to install it where it is indeed comfortable. You need one of the straps to "offset" the other, so that the 2 perpendicular sections in the middle stick out - perfect for thumb. I find I still have to install in different corners for landscape vs portrait, but it's so simple to move. I'm now addicted to it. (end edit).Note that, as another poster mentioned, if you hang it top-right to bottom-left, it can interfere with the sound buttons. Hanging it top-left to bottom-right resolves this, but it does overhang the speaker in that orientation. Also, I usually hold the tablet in my left hand and peck with my right (I'm right-handed, I guess that's normal?). I find that it's more comfortable to hold in portrait mode if the strap is running top-right/bottom-left. The thumb slides in parallel to the way it's hanging, under the 2 middle straps - the way it's intended I guess. But this interferes with the volume buttons as noted. Running it top-left/bottom right is more comfortable to hold in landscape mode.

Next generation should embody improvements
I bought this product because my costly new iPad felt insecure in my hands, even causing cramps from gripping it during long periods of use. Carrying it by gripping the glass constantly caused screen smudges from oily fingers. The Padlette promised to lessen, if not eliminate the problem. It's attractive and easy to install. Made of a formulation of versatile silicone, it simply stretches diagonally corner to corner across the back of the iPad, allowing the user to suspend the iPad from a thumb in the portrait orientation, slide a few fingers under it, or use the cross-straps as a handle. Carrying the iPad one-handed without touching the screen is now a snap, as is holding the iPad securely in any orientationSince I started using it, strangers have approached me to ask about it. I've recommended it unequivocally. Why, then, only four stars? Simply put, it's not as good as it could be. It could better accommodate the position of the iPad's volume and slide switches in the upper-right corner. Some additional thought might allow for a few additional hand positions, including hanging the iPad off one's thumb in the landscape orientation. And it might better accommodate the left-handed user, which I am. These might be minor gripes, but if the inventor reads this, he or she might put some additional development effort into suggestions like mine. And then send me a freebie prototype, of course, for the effort!

Small hand - good. Big hand - not so much - Revised Review
I'm not a large person by any means, I am barely sized out of the boys clothing department. Yet, the Padlette seems much too small and tightly fitted for my hands to use comfortably. I have seen other hand straps for the IPad that have a loop for the user's hand. I will have to look at them for a more comfortable solution. I think the Padlette is like shoes, you need to go to a bricks and mortar store to put on and try out before buying it there.December 30, 2012.My original review elicited a comment by "Joe" about how to correctly use the Padlette. He's entirely correct. You don't wear the Padlette, you grip it. I changed my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.

Didn't work for me but YMMV
It works, but for me I find it awkward and uncomfortable. The problem is that I find myself wanting to wrap my fingers around the side of the tablet otherwise it feels like it might flip out of your hand. But, if you do that it is rather uncomfortable to hold onto. I gave it four stars because it does what it is supposed to and it is well made, other might find it to be a great solution. But for me, it sits in a drawer collecting dust.

I can’t stand not having this on my iPad
I replaced an old padlette that developed a crack over a sharp edge on my case. I feared it might one day break through. I looked for other ‘handles’ just as I’d done for my initial purchase and I could find nothing that suited me. The loops on the back allow for a variety of grip positions. However, my hands have arthritis and I do find that my fingers get fatigued. However, I know that would be the case without the padlette and I’d be more likely to actually drop my iPad. I have the middle size iPad Pro and it fits snuggly but fine.

Secure and no hand cramps.
I couldn't find a case with handle that I liked with all the features I wanted (deep grooves for propping, rotation between landscape and portrait, fun color/pattern, quality material, handle). I ended up getting the Fintie iPad Air 2 case, stained class mosaic and this Padlette D3. So happy with the strap; it fits over the iPad case. I teach with my iPad, walking around the room, writing on the iPad as I explain a problem to a student,... My hand has not cramped holding this strap and I feel the iPad is very secure. I remove strap when I close the iPad case and put it back on when I teach. It is not a hassle for me.

Padlette D3 Red is exactly what I wanted
I have a soft case on my IPAD 1 and this still works fine over the case. I like it also on my Husbands IPAD 2 over his case. WHen traveling by car, i always have to hold the IPAD at an angle so it doesnt reflect the sun on the driver and it made my arm/hand very tired. This makes it much easer to hold and use the IPAD!! its just what I wanted and needed. I also like it if I am standing using my IPAD because it is easier to hold strongly at any angle while using. its easy to attach and remove. When sitting in my chair I usually remove and just use the case normally to position the IPAD.
