vmaisiMagnetic Cabinet Locks Replacement Key

Ordered this "Prime" eligible item on September 9th and after multiple delays it finally arrived on September 19th. Once we received the magnet I noticed right away it was nowhere near as strong as the original that came with the cabinet lock set. The magnet is not seated properly inside the plastic housing unit. You can literally shake it and hear the magnet move around inside. This is probably due to the fact that there are 2 small cracks on the edge of the unit (See attached picture). With the original magnet I could place it on my cabinet and it would be strong enough to hold itself in place while I open the cabinet. With this one that is not possible as it is BARELY strong enough to register on the locks (let alone hold itself on the cabinet) so it requires 2 hands to open every cabinet. It is so finicky that you have to place it "just right" for it to unlock the cabinets now, way more of a pain than the original magnet. Would not recommend.

I wish the magnetic keys were slightly bigger for ease of grip and that they would offer these magnetic keys in either 3 or 4 packs, versus having to purchase them individually. You can never have enough of the magnetic keys located around the rooms, rather than having to run to another area just to be able to open a cabinet door or drawer.One trick that my wife thought of to make them easier to locate, is that she would stick the magnetic keeper onto the back of one of those childproof outlet covers. This way it is easy to find, rather than having to search under the cabinets or in drawers, every time you want to open a cabinet door. Especially for guests wanting to use the waste basket, if it is under the sink of the cabinet in a powder room. Plus if desired they can be easily moved around and relocated since the magnetic keeper is now stuck onto the outlet cover, rather than permanently stuck under an overhead cabinet. Otherwise you end up having to try and peel it off from under a cabinet or wall and then having to use a different piece of two sided tape to re-stick it, if you ever desire to move to a more convenient area. We had previously used latches that locked around the cabinet handles but the grandkids were easily figuring out how to remove them, and they were also scratching up some of the wooden handles. My daughter purchased these and then told me about them and they work a MILLION times better than what we had. There was a little difficulty figuring out how to install them easily and couldn't use the enclosed installing piece, but once we figured it out my husband had all 10 installed in a matter of minutes. You can either install them with the sturdy sticky pads that are included (which are holding very well) but if those ever pull off, you can just turn around and put them back on using the enclosed screws. And another great feature is if the grandkids aren't around, you can keep them unlocked so you don't have to fetch the magnet to open the doors all the time. But great to have when you don't want those little ones getting into dangerous cupboards. Will purchase again if we find more need for them and highly recommend!

This protect is amazing! I highly recommend to all. Very easily installed if you actually read and follow the directions OR watch the video. We installed throughout our entire home; kitchen, bathrooms, entertainment center, etc. Every cabinet and drawer. I definitely recommend purchasing extra keys though. We have one in every room. And because the keys are magnetic, we just store them on the light switch or electrical outlet plate for easy grab.

In the pros column, it works as a replacement magnet key for magnetic child safety locks. In the cons column, it's not "extra strong" as described. It's no stronger than the magnet keys that came with the locks. I was hoping this was actually "extra strong" to work better through our cabinet doors.

I love these the pack we order came with a great number of latches for use to secure our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I love these, that magenets work great! I would have give this a 5 start review had the pack that big come with a few extra magenet keys for the release. With these being used throughout our kitchen and other rooms, we had to come back and order several keys to make it worth our while to use such a great product.

Arrived on time and in good condition. The magnetic key and holder both work great. Nice strong magnet and the storage holder is holding very well under an upper cabinet. This is exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend to anyone needing a Magnetic Key.
