Cunill Oxford 4x6 Sterling Silver Picture Frame

I purchased 2 of these frames. Both were gifts. So gorgeous! Both recipients were appreciative and commented on the beauty of the frame.

High quality frame. Well made. Classy.

I expected from the description and picture that this would be a substantial sterling silver (925) frame with a natural wood back. However, 1) the back appears to be plastic (wood-look) and 2) the "silver" has the distinctive blue of steel rather than the white metal of actual silver. I bought this as a gift, but will not give it, as I would be embarrassed to do so.

Extremely disappointed. I was expecting a heavy silver frame with a real wood backing, (for a $76. 4X6 picture frame!!). Instead I got a super light plastic frame with a plastic backing that had a wood pattern. The insert (behind the glass) only says "Cunill" it doesn't say "Barcelona 1916" or " Sterling Silver 925", (cheap knockoff perhaps?!?). You can get better quality frames for $5-$25 just about anywhere else. I was spending the money because it was a gift for a friend. I wanted to get something high-end, sleek, superior quality - this frame is NOT it. The box it came in is better quality, (and probably heavier), than the actual product. Cheap feeling and looking - again: PLASTIC. Returning immediately.

I had to return the first one as there was a chip in the frame but the return and repurchase went smoothly and I am very impressed with the product.

I am very disappointed with this purchase. Arrived nicely packaged but with broken glass and frame scratched all around. It looks like there was no quality control prior to sending this item out. Sterling silver part of the frame is very thin and flimsy looking.
