TeraFlex 1934100 Rear Kickback Shackle Kit (Jeep YJ 87-95,Pair)

Nice heavy duty shackles with greaseable bolts.Installed on a 91 Jeep YJ and it wasn't a too bad to install. but you should watch some U-tube videos beforeattempting. I put these on the rear springs and it smoothed out the ride. The old shackles were touching the frame so I didn't have any spring movement.There is not any installation instructions or torque specs.

The greasable bolts were just long enough to fit the thin lock nut they provided (no washers).The issue I ran into was that those nuts would strip long before reaching the 95-105 lbs of pressure recommended for the shackles (I assumed the Jeep recommendation, since there were no instructions included). The first shackle had to have the bolts cut off due to this.Ordered the "Prothane 1-816-BL Black Greasable Shackle Bushing Kit" for the bolts, which also comes with washers and thicker lock nuts.Given the new bolts, via that kit, added $75 to the order, probably would have been better off ordering M.O.R.E. Boomerang Shackles

Helped with my shackle angle on my 90 YJ. Rides a lot smoother than the old 30 year old shackles I had on there previously. Being greaseable is a MUST. Now the bolts won't ever seize into the shackle bushings causing rough rides.

The greaseable bolts included in this kit are too short. Luckily, I had some standard bolts from another shackle set that fit.

These were some of the most heavy duty shackles I could find, without adding a bunch of lift so I can keep the center of gravity low on my jeep.

They work awesome & look cool too.
