All metal? Not in the description. If a pit-bull comes at me while walking is this capable of cracking his/her cranium?

The stick that I ordered was a bit of a surprise but it ended up being ok. It comes as three separate pcs which are screwed together. I know that doesn’t sound good, but the pcs are heavy and fit well together. Also included is a heavy metal handle. Altogether, the cane is heavy and well made for the price. I would buy again. Not sure about the pit bull but it would hurt like hell. I haven’t tried striking anything with it but it is heavy enough to do damage.

can someone 250 lbs use this?

Yes, I’m 6’1” 220 lbs and I like it. You may have to trim it though.

Comes in pieces that need assembly, but surprisingly durable

Heavy and seems strong enough for self defense if needed. Great walking stick. Comes in pieces that need to be screwed together….but the screws are heavy duty and stick holds my weight 210lbs.
