My go to for shoes.
This is my third can and I appreciate the long lasting protection and the fact that it has never discolored any shoes I’ve sprayed, even suede. The downside is that sometimes the spray leaks on your hand (other reviewers have also mentioned this) so I like to wear gloves and a mask when I spray. I have only ever used this on shoes so I have no experience about how it waterproofs active gear or handbags.

Fantastic Water Protection
Best shoe water proofing spray on the shoe market in my opinion. I use on my camping and hiking boots.

helps keep baseball pants clean
I spray on my kids baseball pants at the start of the season. Works so well to help keep them clean throughout the season. Makes washing them so much more effective!

Mostly good product, but it has its downsides...
I use this for all my shoes and hats. It seems to be the best for water and stain protection. When applying the stuff, it does leave a clear liquid mist all over the item you are treating, but it will become invisible after a while. That said, it will change the texture and feel of the material sprayed, especially soft materials like wool, felt, velvet, and suede materials. The material will become slightly scratchy or crispy to the touch. You may want to soft brush the items after the stuff dries. One thing that I have noticed with my all my gentlemen's hats (wool and felts) is that if the hat scuffs up against something scratchy like a rough wall or something, it will leave behind white marks on the hat, like when you run your nails across your dry skin. The darker the material the more obvious it is. Spraying the area with a water bottle or using a soft brush often fixes the problem, but still kind of an inconvenience. Another downside of this product is that the spray can drips badly at the spray button, which can be the kiss of death with certain wool and suede like materials. Every can I have purchased has leaked badly. Prolonged spraying makes the problem worse. It is better to spray intermittently to minimize the problem. Make sure you never place the can over the item you are spraying so drips don't fall onto the item you are spraying. The overall effect of this stuff is good at protecting and preserving your shoes and hats, but not without some minor inconveniences.

You want this stuff!
This stuff is amazing. My cobbler recommended it and now it’s the only thing I use. Before I wear any new pair of shoes- I treat them with this spray. It saves my shoes from all kinds of weather and makes them easier to clean if they get dirty.

This stuff is amazing! It works just like the videos w/water running off
I bought this after researching several waterproofing sprays for suede shoes. I've used another highly rated brand, but this "looked" like it might work even better. I will say that the spray nozzle did have some manufacturing issues and was leaking from the base, but I washed what ran down my hand right afterward and all was well. I sprayed two pair of shoes, one full suede pair of Merrell slides, and the other was a mid-calf winter boot with suede and a wool-type fabric and some faux fur around the top (I didn't spray the faux fur other than some possible overspray). I hit both pairs with two coats from about a foot away and each coat was about 10 minutes apart. I waited about 15 minutes then carefully brought them into the house to dry (YES, apply this outdoors away from anything you don't want waterproofed). The spray did not affect the color of either pair of shoes. The next morning I did the "run the shoes under the faucet test" I'd seen in one of the videos. My husband looked horrified at first, but the product did exactly what was shown on the video, the water literally repelled off the shoe and ran off both pairs. My husband's fear was replaced with a look of complete awe, like he'd just witnessed a magic trick. The suede shoes were his new Merrell slides, he can be rough on his shoes so I felt protecting them properly up-front might give them a bit more life than they'd have otherwise. My boots are now waterproof too so I can wear them to clear snow when he's at work. Really happy with the performance of the product. If it holds up and does what it says, I will buy more to treat additional winter and camping shoes.

No instructions
The bottle came with absolutely zero instructions so I sprayed it on two pairs of my brand new shoes with white trim and hopefully I did it right. About 3/4 of the can is gone and it smelled horrible, but I don't really care about that. Who sells the product without Instructions? I'm now wondering if the can I got is even legit. I put it on a brand new pair of Converse and Roxy shoes so if it messed my new shoes up , We're going to have a problem.
