The dosage is small enough that my 10-year-old can take without giving her diarrhea or cramping at school. The pill is tiny and easy to swallow. The doctor said she is supposed to move her bowels once daily but we’ve never made that Mark. Even with this medication she’s every couple of days but she’s not straining. I need to consume 3 tablets each time I have an issue. The small dosage produces a pasty non-satisfying movement for an adult so unless you’re taking it daily I would just take three as the directions indicate. There’s nothing more satisfying in life than a big Poo :)

I've got some medicine related issues going on right now. My doctor's office said to try this combo. Worked for me. Gentle and effective.

I can't believe I finally found a product that actually works. I have had severe issue's in this department. I have even been hospitalized. What I like is that I no longer have to take 10-12 stool softeners a day, plus nightly laxative. Two of these at night work like a charm!

Great value for the price of a commonly used product, medications often have constipating or drying side effects and this stool softener is a good choice. Note that it's only "Colace" generic version, not "Peri-Colace", the latter of which contains a laxative in addition to the stool softener.

i love this stuff i only need it every now and then and of course you know everyones G.I. tract is so different but all I can tell you is do not take these if your going to be out and about, take them when you know you can get to a toilet within 6-8 hours because when it hits you.. it HITS you!

I, unfortunately, had to use this product during the first half of my pregnancy as regular stool softeners (even Colace) just weren't producing any results. PeriColace was approved by my OB and this product gave the same results without any irritation.
