The pot need a little work.
The pot need a spout to pour the used oil out. It's not that easy to clean either. The way the handle is constructed ,and without a spout it makes it hard to pour the used oil out. A little tweaking and it will be alright.

NOT what are said to be
Despite the write up you need to know these are NOT pre-seasoned. They arrived with a sticky wax coating on them (probably from the mould used to create them) that when heated off became a sticky, noxious smelling mess - I suggest you do this out doors on your gas grill like I did. Because they were needed for an event I had no time to reorder or send back, so I had to season them myself, plus the shipping on 40 lbs (I bought 2) would have been ridiculous. In addition the name TEXsport indicated to me they were made in TEXAS - don't be fooled! Read the WHOLE write up - they are made in China. Had I known that I would have spent the extra money for the Lodge brand ones that ARE pre-seasoned and ARE made in America. That's what I recommend.

Dutch Oven
The dutch oven was the perfect size I needed and the price was great. Took a while to season it, but once seasoned performed flawlessly. The item is very heavy so be careful when using it, especially when hot. Takes a long time to cool down. I bought it specifically to cook a campfire bread and the bread came out perfect. I would recommend this dutch oven to any one.

Dutch Oven
It was nice however it is extremely heavy for my sister and me to pick up, we both have arthritis in our hands, We have to ask someone to put it on the counter so we can fill it and then we have to have them put it in the oven, It does cook well.

The wife loves this large Dutch Oven.
Protective coating was a little hard getting off. Finally used the outdoor grill on high to melt the protective coating off. This is a great pot for slow cooking a large roast.

Perfect for cooking!
The price on this was fantastic! I hardly use my other pots anymore since I've gotten this and I have to say the best thing about this is that it keeps what ever I've made warm so much longer which is ideal since everyone in the home eats at seperate times.

Quality!
Very low quality cast iron. Very rough with lots of fine pits, Very thin casting. No wonder! "It's made in China". No doubt the cheapest price Texsport was willing to pay. I may keep it just to try it out. I'll update later.
