We purchased 5 of these are using 1 on the sill of each window to block the sunlight that was coming in past the bottom of our blinds. They are heavily weighted (at least 3 pounds each), so they stay in place without trouble, but even more import, the weighting material inside is evenly distributed throughout the length of the tube and it doesn't shift inside, thus ensuring that the tube always lays flat. Therefore, we don't have any gaps which would let sunlight past. They are more expensive than other light/draft blockers (nearly all of those are more junk from China), but the quality of construction and appearance of the DecoRealm makes them a good value, and the product will last for generations. I spoke with the founder and CEO of DecoRealm (she lives in Australia), and complimented her on this fine product. All too rare these days to find anything that doesn't exhibit designed obsolescence, which only promotes more trash and more consumption.

Build quality is good, I was assuming it would weigh a bit more but it seems to be able to stay in place and get the job done well enough..

This is a good looking piece. It's a boring purchase for most, I'll admit, but it's definitely something that keeps the house a little warmer in the cold cold winter. There are many on the market and this one is not the cheapest, but it's also really well made and actually kinda classes up the joint. Not to say my house isn't classy. My house is classy as F. But if you want to make sure you can keep the cold outside where it belongs, I would suggest grabbing one of these instead of the many other, less attractive options.

After considering the many other door draft blockers on Amazon I decided to pay up a bit for what looked to be a better made, more substantial product. It was definitely the right decision. The photo shows that the draft blocker is a a full 36” so it perfectly fits a standard outside door. Reviews for other products I looked at said their length included the loop, meaning the draft blocker itself it was actually too short to be fully effective (would not have thought that so once again thank you to Amazon reviewers). Also, the circumference of this draft blocker is big enough to stay in place and really close off drafts. Finally, using ceramic beads rather than sand to add weight really makes a big difference keeping it in place. A little bit of extra $ really makes the difference here. Well done.

We have purchased several draft stoppers over the years so I knew what I didn’t want. What I was looking for was something that was heavier and that actually fit against the door enough so there was not a big space. I also wanted a cover that I could take off and wash. I also wanted it to be the length of our door, and to just kind of blend in to the surroundings, not be too noticeable. This draft stopper is all of those things!! IT ACTUALLY STOPS DRAFTS!!! I am glad I went ahead and paid a little more because this may be the last one I ever need. It’s so awesome to find a good quality item after being stung so many times with pieces of junk. I actually looked to see what else this company sells because I hoped to find other quality items.

I wasn't sure I wanted to spend this much on a thing for the draft of my door, but am so thankful that I did! It easily fits in front of my door with my feet and moves out of the way with the swing of the door. In the first two months I noticed a significant reduction in my heating bill as well. Now my heater gets the room warm and it says that way for a long time.This door stopper doesn't detract from my minimalist lifestyle at all; it make my place all the more cozy!
