UPDATE: I've had this uke for a while now and it continues to look and sound great, even though I'm clumsy and often bump it into things. My brother is a professional guitarist and he has an ukulele as well, but he frequently borrows mine because, according to him, it sounds way better than his. So, now you've heard it from a beginner and a professional--this uke has a great sound!Also, as expected, the A string is no longer a problem. I got this as a complete beginner with a low budget. It works perfectly and is very light and easy to get used to. The only things that make it less than perfect would be that it has trouble with holding a tune, meaning it goes out of tune pretty fast when you first start using it. I'm not an expert, but maybe the strings just needed to get used to holding a certain tune or stretching to comfort because it holds a tune for much longer now that I've been playing it for a few weeks. Definitely worth the money and it sounds great!

List price is around $70, luckily I bought it when it was on sale for $30, as it’s basically only worth that much. The strings are weak and far from the best. When tuning they come undone pretty easy after playing for only a few minutes. Overall the quality is decent, apart from the strings it comes with. This is definitely nowhere near worth $70.

The media could not be loaded. The ukelele won’t play in tune even when I tune it, the C chord isn’t intoned correctly and it always sounds off no matter how much I tune it. I’m very disappointed. I just wanted an inexpensive little instrument to play around on and it always frustrates me because it can’t play in tune.
