I had expected to have a size issue with this cap based upon all the reviews. In my case I had no issues with fit. I have worn this during a few recent rain storms and it worked great. It does not have much ventillation, which makes sense for a waterproof hat, so it can run a little warm while running. I ordered this cap and the waterprrof cap from Sealskinz but decided to keep the Gore. The high visibility color is very helpful for running on roads.

This hat is well constructed (in China), with Gore-tex water and wind proof fabric. Back of the hat adjustment is neat- no obvious buckle. No adjustment opening at back to let in cold air for us folicularly challenged. Downside of the design is it will NOT expand to fit extra large heads. Fits my size 7 1/8 bald head neatly, with a little extra room to spare. Fabric is thin, so for a bald guy standing around the useful temp range is 50F - 75F. I would like it a lot more if it had some insulation value- wanted for north country fall and spring when temps are often in the 40's.If you want it for work outs: good for cooler weather workouts, but too warm In summer - a simple nylon cap will do to keep the rain off your face and dry out quickly. Not warm enough for a casual cooler weather cap. Pretty pricey, but Gore is a quality brand. I bought mine "used" from Amazon for a 25% discount. Still had the tags on it.

As above. Love the color and breathable material of the hat even though its a bit expensive !

The hat is waterproof, but it is too small. The band in the back of the hat is not useful, because the hat is sewn such that it cannot expand to the width of the band.

I must have a giant head. Even adjusted to the max size it still wouldn’t fit. Otherwise it was just what I was looking for.

I have always been 7 1/4 hat size unless I need a haircut, then I need slightly larger. This came at max and fits snug when I just had a haircut. Otherwise very nice construction and up to Gore standards. Deciding if I should return it. I also bought the Eddie Bauer rain cap. It also fits tight, similar to this cap. I only see one other rain cap on Amazon - the sealskin one. Do I dare try that? t would be strike 3 for me...

I live at the beach and often must deal with wind and rain squalls when I run in the early morning. This is the best cap I've ever had for such conditions. As long as you don't mind others thinking you're an Al Gore fan (I'm not), you can't go wrong.
