30 PLASTIC FREE Eden Project 100% Home Compostable Nespresso Compatible Capsules (Decaff)

Really wanted to like these. I hate the guilt associated with sending the standard pods into landfill.The Eden Project pods do work in my Krups machine just like the standard pods - but the acid test, is the coffee as good to drink - failed.The coffee taste is OK - bearable, but nowhere near as nice as the Nespresso pods.However, I won't go back to the plastic pods now, so will keep searching for a good-tasting biodegradable alternative.

Taste of the coffee is very good. I specifically wanted pods that are compostible and also suitable for a longer pour black coffee. These tick both boxes. I have been buying these for a few months now and disposing in home compost. While I would say they are quite slow to break down, they are breaking down faster than some other brands I have tried so I am happy with the product overall. Customer service is great. After months of ordering without problems, we had our first picking error this week. I contacted the seller and they put it right straight away, no questions asked. Really impressed.

We've been using these for a couple of months now and they are fantastic. They taste great and there's no noticeable difference to the Nespresso pods we used to get in terms of flavour and crema. Everyone now and then we do get a dud one and the machine struggles to push water through but probably less than 2% overall. It comes in completely recyclable packaging. We're definitely sticking with these going forward.

Best tasting biodegradable decaf capsules I've tried. Ordered more. They never fail with my citiz machine, always deliver the same smooth fullbodied taste. Very happy with these.

The flavour of these is okay - slightly bitter after taste, but not really different from other decaf coffee I've found. Only problem really is how they work with the machine itself - something about the fit means that getting them to work has been a bit hit and miss ... sometimes having to go through a couple of pods before one fits / works perfectly

Love having compostable capsules, and tasted pretty good. I have given it 4*s as I found that when I used these capsules, they occasionally did not puncture well, and sometimes a tiny bit of coffee grounds escapes into my cup.Overall, would order again.

I've tasted and enjoyed other Eden Project coffees but these honestly taste like the run off you get in the tray of the coffee machine with an added undertone of somebody having stubbed their cigarette out in it.I only want to buy compostable pods and there are a few good ones out there now - but can somebody PLEASE make a decent decaf one?!

The only issue with these excellent pods is that for some reason hey leave a few of the grinds behind which just means you might need to flush a bit of hot water through to flush the machine to flush the pipes. Otherwise they are great tasting , excellent value for money and recyclable at home. What’s not to love.
