I bought this for my 2009 Audi A4 that has the AMI interface. My hope was to connect a bluetooth adapter between the AUX and USB plugs on this cable so I could easily get music into the car stereo (since Audi doesn't offer music over their bluetooth interface until the 2013 models). The USB plug doesn't work though so I'm unable to use the bluetooth adapter unless I wire power to the glovebox or run the Aux plug to somewhere else where there is power. Since only half the cable works as advertised I'm giving it 2.5 stars...

2012 Audi A5 MMI system does not support Bluetooth streaming music from iPhone (even though you can use Bluetooth for calls). I bought this adapter with the Amazon Echo Auto unit and it is a perfect solution to stream any music service accessible via Alexa. Plus, you get the benefit of all Alexa functionality in your car. If you already use Alexa in gour home, I can’t think of a better solve for the Audi Bluetooth “issue”.

Need a usb and aux for my Audi just in case I need to plug in other devices for road trips

I purchased this for my 2012 Audi S4 to use with Alexa Auto. The audio jack seems to work great, however this would not power the Alexa box...

The charger did not work

I bought this product to replace an expensive AMI Bluetooth transmitters that stopped working unexpectedly . While the vehicle could very easily recognize and connect to the previous AMI connector, this cable did not prompt any AUX input on the MMI interface. I tried resetting the MMI system, using a different device, plugging just the 3.5 jack and just the USB - nothing worked. Will be returning the product.
