A Wonderful Lower-Cost Solution
I own a recording studio, a production studio, and a radio studio here in Nashville. If I'm hooking a Neumann microphone to a UA preamp for a solo vocal, okay I'll reach for a Mogami cable, However, although I was reluctant to use low cost cables at one time, Hosa has taught me their cables are good, serviceable, and just what's needed for a LOT of applications and many of the hundreds of short or temporary connections that exist in my environment. Having said that about Hosa's standard cables, I will say this:Hosa "Pro" cables are a definite step up, and I really like them. Connectors are silver-plated (silver is more conductive than gold, yet some idiots insist on wasting money on gold-plated connectors). Cable itself is much better, my resistance tests were very good on cables up to 25' (did not buy anything longer). Since I ordered twenty different cables for a new set of distribution amps and codecs, I really appreciated the change to open-card packaging with small velcro attachments versus the usual zip ties that must be cut (sharp objects and cables - never a good combination). Whether they hold up over a long time, well only time will tell, but it appears the right components have been put in place to make that happen. While I prefer Neutrik connectors, the REAN's are very good. I could not resist an A/B comparison with some of my most treasured mic cables. All parameters were within 5% of the best cables I own, and a few of those cost more than my first car. For someone building a project studio, these would be a godsend. Buy with confidence and enjoy.

Good cables for rough use.
Mic cables are either good or bad in the live sound business. There are no magic cables, no special copper, none of that fake home audio bs. You simply don't hear professionals discuss the wonders of xlr cables. All you need is a good cable, good connectors and good soldering. there are some cheapo cables on Amazon that are poorly assembled with crap materials. These fail fast. The truth is you won't hear any difference between cables under 99% of usage. The issues are fragile cable due to poor quality manufacturing, poorly fitting xlr connectors, and cold solders that let loose. The major brands have tighter quality control and better materials. No magic that sounds better. They just last longer and fit into mics, stage boxes and other gear properly. These Hosa cables are thicker than "normal" and work well for use on powered speakers and monitors, were they get walked on and have things set on them or accidentally rolled over them. Too thick for roving frontmen. I have been using mine for over three years. Zero problems.

Great option for XLRs
I have ordered three of these cables--two 5ft and one 10ft. They are sturdy and excellent. I compared them to Monoprice cables, which had some noise issues and were returned. I use one 5ft Hosa HMIC010 from the line out on my Fender Tonemaster guitar amp into my Motu M2 audio interface, the other 5ft HMIC010 from the interface into a TC Helicon R1 Reverb and the 10ft HMIC010 from the R1 to a Shure SM58. Sound quality is good and the signal is strong and there is no noise issue. Good value and good product.

Good cable!
I have used Hosa cables for years because I appreciate the quality and the price. I needed a short cable to plug a mic into my computer (see my Blue Microphones icile review) and this was just the right length. Like other Hosa cables, this has introduced no additional noise into my recordings. The connections are solid and secure and the cable performs flawlessly. I appreciate the addition of the small velcro cable ties as well. I have used this cable in a few different "electrically noisy" environments and found the shielding against introducing interference or buzzing to be more than adequate.

Good quality XLR cable
Shielding feels much better quality than the cheaper cables I have been using, good value compared to the more expensive cables

I'm speechless
I have a Monolith THX AAA 887 headphone amp and a Topping D70 DAC. I have had the DAC since 2019. They cables in the picture I order the same time I ordered the DAC. Now, I wanted to change my configuration, so I needed longer cables. I got these. Now why I'm speechless. I'm hearing things I never heard before through my headphones. Yes, I know it sounds crazy but I'm telling the truth. I spent 900 dollars on a headphone system. The movies and music I have have listened to for, some ten years are more. I know what everything sounds like and I'm used to it. When something changes I notice. I know cables should all sound the same, but these don't. I put my old ones in the picture so everyone can see what cables I'm coming from. It is so strange but the Hosa cables sound BETTER! I got the 3 foot cables. I'm not getting paid to review this. I hooked these up and immediately heard a difference. Like I said, I have had this DAC since 2019 and I have had this Amp for at least a year, maybe 2020. I cannot explain it and it is hard for me to believe.I looked up on the Net to see if the old cables could be wired wrong. Well, if the old cables were wired wrong they would not work. Strange and I can't figure out why there would be difference. Unless, the old cables are allowing a slight interference to get into the connection, thus causing a slight distortion in sound. That is the only thing I can think of. Either way, if you have spent money on equipment like I have, get GOOD cables. LOL I paid 24.99 for my old cables. I paid 31 and some change for the Hosa. Some kind of interference must be going on through the old cables. The Hosa cables? THEY ROCK!
