UM06 Table-Top HDMI and USB Autofocus Digital Microscope

HelloI'm working with micro sensors, and love electronics. I got a cheap ($75) digital microscope to help me with small component work.The quality of image was kind of OK, but was not satisfied. I was looking the net for a decent quality, under $1000, that is not USB,(Tie up your PC), have it's own HDMI connection for stand alone monitor. Most of the one with these specs, are $3000-5000 range.(may be pro metal microscope with camera and arms, but that take half your desk space).Well this baby is awesome, auto focus, good software, small footprint, and amazing image.I find some small mechanical issues of imperfection on the stand, that is why only 4 star.The software have lots of features of measurement, and more stuff. The Microscope itself well constructed,if you need higher magnification, there is an option of the X10 lens, (loose the long working distance down to 3/8")The box comes with X4 (up to X270 magnification) 8" working distance, so you can put your hand under to solder.The image sensor is 5 mega pixels. (21.5" monitor 1080P) Also, dose have USB 2 or 3 connection.I find the price little high, how ever, whit all the good stuff, once you see the quality of image, you will be happy,For my taste, deserve two thumbs up. I'm happy whit it.

I bought this scope for my daughter who has taken an interest in science. I wanted something better than the $40 to $100 toy scopes. I knew I was going to spend some money and wanted to get something I could also use for lab work, circuit inspection and modification. I looked at scientific equipment, both new and used, but found few good matches for a low power scope that provided good working distance, good lighting, didn't weigh 50 lbs or occupy the better part of table, and didn't cost $1500. The integrated microscopes with LCD screens didn't have the right features unless you go to the high end. I nearly gave up when I came across the ViTiny UM06. It seemed to have everything I wanted at a reasonable price and I was encouraged that many universities and JPL were also using it. It's a nice scope - small, lightweight, good image quality and with decent magnification and sufficient distance from the target to comfortably work under. A great scope for my early explorer, but also good for my lab work. The HDMI video output is really nice and allows you to comfortably watch the target on a large screen with smooth, full motion video. With the HDMI output, you don't need to stare through eyepieces and you don't need to connect it to your computer. We have used the HDMI output so much that we have yet to load the software on a computer. Although I didn't plan it this way, we attached the scope to our entertainment center so that we can view things on our large screen. If I need it, I can easily grab it and use it on my bench. It comes with a remote control that allows you adjust the focus remotely, control the lighting and other things. The focusing range is quite large. I also purchased the adapter for the 1000x magnification. Of course, you lose the working distance at high power, but image quality and lighting are quite good with the adapter. I'm glad I bought it. The scope comes nicely packaged and is made in Taiwan. Quality is good. There are a few refinements that could be made to enhance the feel of quality, but nothing that would change my decision to buy. The folks at Oasis Scientific are also very responsive and I recommend them. They got me the scope in time for the holidays. That's my experience so far. Good luck!
