As expected, easy replacement
Bought as a replacement for a vintage globe light, works well with smooth action. Very easy to install and fit into vintage fixture perfectly.

Excellent Replacement for Floor Lamp
One of the chains broke on my in-law's dual bulb, floor standing lamp inside of where it exits the chain outlet. I tried to use a coupler but, it was too large to pass through the hole and I ended up purchasing this Leviton lamp base. After unplugging the lamp, I disassembled the socket housing, released the wires, and reassembled it, all in a few minutes. It works great and the in-laws are happy.

All I can say is that it works. I replaced an existing desk lamp with this because the chain kept breaking. So far this works just fine.

Resolved my flickering light issue
I've "struggled" with my desktop lamp for some time, sometimes it worked, sometimes it wouldn't and sometimes a few taps would coax it into lighting up. For right around $6 and 10 minutes of time, my desk lamp now works flawlessly each and every pull of the chain.

Fixed my 30 year old lamp

Quality
The electrical connection screws were over-tightened when received and extremely difficult to loosen which resulted in distortion of the screw driver slot. In addition the screws were very short which makes the connection difficult.The item was purchase as a replacement switch for 2-piece porcelain ceiling fixture but the metal bulb socket thread did not match the porcelain thread so the item could not be used.
