I very rarely buy the same product twice, I like to try new things. This is one product I will purchase over and over. The ingredients are amazing and it works wonders on dry, damaged hair. Makes hair super soft and shiny.

This is an extremely moisturizing hair mask. I always read the ingredients on hair products, because I like mine to be as close to organic as possible, with little to no bad ingredients. I completely avoid these ingredients:•dmdm hydantoin•dimethicone•PPD/para-phenylenediamine•propanol•TriclosanThese ingredients can cause hair loss and hair breakage over time. Most of Shea Moisture products don't contain these, and this one sure doesn't.I also have low porosity hair, which means my hair is hard to get moisture into due to the hair cuticles being very closed, and are not open much at all.This works for my low porosity hair, and I use a heated bonnet with it to open my hair cuticles so the mask can penetrate the hair shaft more easily, so it can deliver that moisture it desperately needs. I've even mixed a small amount in with my Shea Moisture leave in conditioner for added moisture if my hair is feeling a bit dry.It also smells very good, and leaves my hair soft and shiny, even on day 2 hair. Do if you wanna go longer in between washing + styling, this will probably help. I just prefer to rinse my hair every 2-3 days. And it's affordable to, so that's a plus. I will absolutely purchase this again for sure.

As others have mentioned, this product has absolutely no slip and is extremely thick, so applying it to tangled hair is gonna be a bad time.However, when applied to detangled hair, I think it works extremely well. My hair is fine, dry, prone to breakage, and protein sensitive, and this mask works excellently to restore moisture. It feels very protective, and I have even used it as a leave in with really nice results.The smell is neither here nor there; it doesn’t smell amazing but it’s very subtle so basically a non issue.I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the difficulty in application if your hair is not perfectly detangled.

I’m a white girl with soft coils (like Weird Al). This is hands-down the best hair product I’ve tried at any price point. Try to get this original formulation because the “more moisture” update doesn’t absorb as well into the hair.

I LOVE this deep conditioner, it's one of my favorite ones to use. It always leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturized. Perfect prep for whatever style your going to do with your hair. For reference I have for tight 4c curls.

It's a good product but not as moisturizing as I'd expect. It does moisturize well but not like the synthetic G****nier sleek and shine or A***ie 30 min miracle moisture which is a bit disappointing as I am looking for a natural option to add extra moisture similar to those brands.

I’ve tried so many hair masks and this is honestly my favorite! I’ve been using it for years now and it’s so affordable. It smells great and I only use on the ends on my hair before rinsing so I’ve never had a problem with it being greasy. My hair is on the drier side and has heat damage.
