Old school oil can!!!
I used to have one of these in the shop for years, and it disappeared. I finally decided to replace it, and I am glad I found this one. Made in USA. Very well made, I might add. Just about as good quality as the old one I had for years, if not a bit better finish. Works very well, can dispense a small amount of oil with precision, or shoot it about 12 feet (yeah, I'm that guy lol!).Highly recommended, especially if you want an "old school" USA made product!

Solid construction, sturdy balance.
Works like a charm. No leaks, no drips just happy lubing. And this seems like the kinda tool that will last forever.I often set it atop the lathe or balanced on some end mills and HSS and with the low center of gravity it stays upright. Love the product and will definitely buy more for different oil types.

A quality, must-have tool for people with a non-lubricating drill press or other cutting tool.
This is a quality, necessary tool for anyone with a drill press or other cutting tool without a cutting lubrication system. The wide base on this oiler makes it more stable on a work surface covered with drill shavings. My go-to method for years on the drill press has been spot lubricating the hole I'm making with tap magic or using an aerosol can of penetrating oil. That works, but there are some drawbacks. First it's expensive to use tap magic on a drill press. It works fine but is very pricey and doesn't go very far when used for drilling holes. Same with aerosol cans of oil. And they tend to make a big mess when you lose the spray straw, which is inevitable. Pump oilers save money by using less expensive by-the-gallon bulk cutting oil andl by getting that oil in the right spot, safely. You end up using less oil too. This oiler and a gallon of Cut-It cutting oil will cost you about $30, or about the same as 32 oz. of tap magic.

Good old oil can
Works fine. Filled with Sea Foam penetrating oil. I need another this good for cutting oil. Only problem, the pump piston was jammed on arrival and required some force and penetrating oil to free it. Works fine now. Check ball holds good pump is always ready to squirt

Good but not perfect
This is a better quality oil dispenser than a lot of others out there but it's not flawless. The issues I've had are the trigger is extremely sensitive. Just picking it up and touching the trigger will shoot out a squirt where you don't want it! So don't aim it at your face when handling it. The other thing is although the can itself doesn't seem to have problem with leaking like other cheapies might, it can leak from the nozzle tip if left in a warmer environment like my shop can get. I will find something to keep over the tip from now on.

Best Oiler for rebuilding engines
From a 140 year old AMERICAN company (once one of the largest makers of horse collars), the GOLDENROD oilers are an example of something that has stayed in value due to it just being "right"The right size, one hand used, stays primed and the wide bottom means it won't tip over easily. I have been using them for over 40 years and never wore one out (I have a bunch). Needed a new one for a client....and never thought about buying anything else. One of the things that makes tools great instead of just a tool is the function....and these oilers are just that....you can buy cheaper.....and overseas knockoffs.....but something about the tradition and source makes me just a bit happier when spending my money

Total garbage, so much for American quality
What a huge disappointment. I bought this can to service the ball oilers on my lathes. I spent a little extra on the "American Made" version, thinking it would get me better quality. Boy, was I in for a surprise. I will say that the body is nicely finished and seems to be fairly well made. The pump mechanism appears to be decent quality as well. That's where the positives end, unfortunately. I filled it with oil and tried to service my lathe. The tip was too large to fit. So I tried a different one. Same thing. The tip is the wrong type to fit the ball oilers on any of my 3 lathes. Ok, no problem, the common approach to this is to use said lathe to turn down the tip to the correct profile. That's when I discovered that the tip is not made of brass as it should be, or even steel, but flimsy aluminum! Not even good, hard, aluminum. More like recycled beer cans. My smallest lathe chuck nearly crushed it with the minimum required holding pressure. I finally got it profiled to fit, and tried again. Guess what...the handle bent on the 3rd pump. Now I get maybe a half stroke, if that. I'm afraid to bend it back, for fear that it will break off entirely.Bottom line: this thing is poorly designed junk. Save a few bucks and get a cheap import version, which will suck in probably the same ways, but at least will be inexpensive, rather than just cheap. Alternatively, spend a bit more and get one with a real brass tip of the proper size. Speaking of which, it never says what tip size this thing has. The tip thread is 1/4-28 in case anyone else mangles theirs up and needs to make a replacement.I'd return it in a heartbeat, but since I've modified it, I'm sure that's no longer an option.
