Mamas, we know the dreaded in-between-sizes. My four year old is transitioning between 4T/5T to 5T/6T. I was worried these would be too big or too small since there wasn't a size chart listed in the description. My daughter is 40 lbs. and the 4-6 fit great! The material is thick, almost feels more like cotton than spandex, while still stretchy. Then I found out the material is made with cotton and spandex, which means this is better quality than most for the price range. I found these were slightly, ever so slightly a little big in the shoulders, but the cross back stops the sleeves from falling off. Honestly, can see her wearing this for the next year or so without issue. To keep the longevity, I always wash on delicate and hang to dry, but that's just me. My daughter's dance school separates age by color. We got light blue for 4 year old ballet. Color is true to description, looks exactly like the photos.

They were as expected, fit as we expected and were comfortable for our 7yr old. She is very slim so they were a little loose around the hips. The material is more of a cotton versus spandex nylon.
