Works Great. Easy To See.
The Izzo Swami 6000 works great. It's bright color display has large numbers and is very easy to read, even from yards away or when sitting in the golf cart on the other side. It is accurate and works seamlessly, advancing from hole to hole automatically. It also acquires the course very quickly after you initially turn it on.With the touch of one button you can switch screens and get the distance to, and the distance to go over, hazards on the hole. The battery life is superb and it has a battery life indicator. The magnet on the back holds onto the cart well. The Swami 6000 is small enough and light enough to put into your pocket if you have to walk up to a tee box or if weather conditions dictate "cart path only".As far as I'm conerned this is the perfect little golf GPS.Prior to purchasing the Swami I had the current "version 2" of the leading manufacturer's Golf GPS. It worked fine, but was often difficult to read, especially in bright sunlight. (It has a grey and black screen, not bright color like the Swami.) After purchasing the Swami 6000 I used both of them for a few rounds to compare the distances. They were always within one or two yards of each other. I have since given the other brand's golf GPS away.

Like it. Works fine now, but had some battery/charging problems. Hope it doesn't happen again.
I like the simple screen with front, middle and back green readings. Distance of shot tracking is good and hazard locations are good as well. The battery life typically holds up for at least two rounds, but i have had a few times when it would drain before i finished the second round.I also experienced a few times after i had charged it completely (it showed 100%) and it quit after a few holes.I noticed that when charging the device, it was hit or miss and sometimes the charge readings were weird. So i switched from the charging block they sent with the device to another charging block I use for other items like a phone and tablet. The next few uses after that, I did not experience any problems. Not completely sure if the charging block is the problem others are having, but i guess I will see how it holds up from here for me.

My first one lasted 5 years. I bought the same thing again.
I bought a Swami 6000 in 2019. It saw heavy use. Easy to use. Accurate distances to greens and hazards, as well as distance of last shot played. Knew every course I played on in Texas, Ohio and West Virginia.I think eventually I wore the buttons out, and it died after 5 years of hard work.Did not hesitate to just buy the same thing again. Have had the second one for about a month now, and is also perfect.Highly recommend.

fROZE UP COMPLETELY AFTER A Y EAR
2ND UPDATE - COMPLETELY FROZE UP AFTER TWO HOLES! ACTUALLY NOT EVEN HALFWAY THROUGH THE SECOND. NO WAY TO RESET OR EVEN TURN OFF! JUST HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE BATTERY DIES. i REALLY HOPED THIS WOULDN'T BE ANOTHER FLAWED PRODUCT BUT I WAS WRONG. MY LAST REVIEW SAID I WAS GOING TO SELL ON EBAY - NOW IT'S COMPLETELY JUNK! NOTE THE REVIEWS, THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM! IF YOU GO TO THE IZZO SITE NOTE THAT ALL THE REVIEWS ARE CHERRY-PICKED, NOTHING LESS THAN A FOUR-STAR. IZZO WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!(Initial review when new) Purchased this to replace my Golf Buddy. The good news is that it pulls up the correct course quickly and it's very accurate. There are two problems - one is that if you want to keep score you need to stay on the green of the hole you just played to enter that information. If you leave the green and approach the next tee box before you record your score it switches to the next hole and there is no way to go back. That's a real problem if you're being rushed or are in the habit of recording your score while waiting to hit on the next tee. I have never been able to complete a round without having to abandon the scoring feature and other players get really peeved if you stand there fiddling with your rangefinder. The other problem is that you can set the device to automatically turn off after about half an hour or stay on. Even though we're moving constantly and I'm checking distances or recording scores it seems to turn off after a couple of hours after setting the device to stay on.UPDATE #1: I changed this to a one-star rating because 1) the third time I used it I couldn't pull up the course I was on (major course in Denver suburb!). I updated the firmware at Izzo suggestion 2) Not being able to enter score once you leave green is a killer. Izzo response was "once you're 40+ yards down fairway you should be able to switch back and enter score"! Are you kidding? I'm focused on my next shot at that point! and 3) It keeps turning off after about six or seven holes. Gonna sell on Ebay.

Ease of use and last the whole round.
My first swami was wonderful and accurate. It lasted me 3 years. So I bought a new one in November 1924 and it’s already not holding a charge. April 2025. I am very disappointed and will be looking for a new one as this one is no good if it won’t last more than a half hour. I do hope the people that purchased one on my recommendation are not having the same problem.

So far!
I previously had an Izzo Swami that was inexpensive and worked well for about three years. When I could no longer get it to stay on for a whole round and was no longer supported by Izzo, I tossed it in the trash. That said, it was accurate when it worked and did not deter me from "trying" their new updated and more costly GPS. I now have used it for three rounds and it performs well, seems accurate and I have no complaints about it. Hopefully it will last longer than my Swami did. I think it's worth the investment risk.
