I purchased the NOCO Genius2D, and it has exceeded my expectations! i have a Jeep that sits a significant amount of time. it hadn't been driven in nearly 7 months and the battery was stone dead!The installation process was straightforward. The included mounting bracket and eyelet cables made it easy to secure the charger near the battery. The 24-inch A/C and D/C cables provided ample length for a neat setup.This charger works flawlessly! After installing it, I left it plugged in overnight and by the next morning, the jeep started easily! It efficiently maintains the battery charge, ensuring my Jeep will always be ready to go! The charger also features short-circuit, over-voltage, and reverse polarity protection, which gives me peace of mind. Even if I mess up, I'm protected!The charger is very compact, which is a big plus. It fits easily under the hood without taking up much space. The IP65 rating for water and dust resistance is a great feature, especially for driving in various weather conditions.Considering its performance and features, this charger offers excellent value for its price. It’s a reliable and efficient solution for maintaining my vehicle's battery.Overall, I’m very satisfied with the NOCO Genius2D. It’s a high-quality, dependable charger that I would recommend to anyone in need of an onboard battery maintainer.

I was in the market for a trickle charger that was small enough to hard mount onto my recently acquired Outlaw 110 - saw this, took a few measurements and hit our all time favorite button.... "Buy Now".A few days later and it shows up - packaging is great, has instructions for those who need them, and the physical base unit itself was small enough to neatly tuck next to the Air box (L-side) and secured to the frame. Just enough length on the outlet cord to run along the frame and have it restored just behind the LF headlight for ease of access.... Couldn't have asked for a better product.It charges the YTZ7S battery fantastically! Came up to it this morning after two days of rest and it's keeping the battery happy and healthy. Will be purchasing again!

I got this partially because I need a SLA charger and maintainer but a little bit also because of it restoration function. Some newer charger/maintainers like this also have the ability to apply a pulse that can help break up crystalization inside the battery. While this will not bring an old or damaged battery back to a new state, it does help with things like when a battery is allowed to discharge too far at least once but not significantly damaged otherwise.I didn't know for sure if it would help with my own car's battery, but decided to try it anyway. It actually did indeed seem to help. Before using this it would only last a few minutes with the radio powered on after the car was shut off before it would shut it down due to low voltage. Now it lasts about 30 minutes. This also translates to holding up much better when sitting over time. This is not magic, so it is very limited in what it is able to do (more serious damage may not even be repairable short of basically rebuilding the battery,) but in cases of one of the more common minor causes of SLA battery capacity loss it does indeed help.As for the actual charging and maintenance functions, these seem to work quite well. It's only a 2A maximum charge rate (it lowers twice in later stages of the charge process) so not well suited to large batteries such as those of a car except as a maintainer (which needs very little actual current,) but will do in a pinch if you have the time (I believe it listed 60 hours as the time required to 100% fully charge a car battery -- although it will likely crank in much less time than that.) You will probably want one of the larger ones for those. However, it does have the advantage of being able to safely work on practically any SLA battery you can reasonably throw at it -- provided you can spare the time for a larger battery. I am also using this to maintain (and hopefully restore) a much smaller battery and so far it seems to be working just fine.I'm not clear on the difference between this one and the 2D model. This one also comes with a mount if you would like to more permanently mount it (such as inside your car.) Interestingly they seem to have made the alligator clips that come with it have screw-mounted rings that can be removed for permanent installation at the terminal screws. This way you don't need a separate set of connectors for each as the 2D model did. So this is an option for those who need to do this.

Too small for my application, but I still give it 5 stars because it does exactly what it's meant to do.Best used as a battery maintainer for starting batteries (generator, motorcycle, car, etc...)I installed it in my RV, and when I'm using the RV for a few days at a time, the batteries run down because I really need more power than the 2A this charger provides - but again, it works perfectly.

It’s easy to install, and it does work great when it works for how fast it’ll charge batteries. I had one it quit working after a year but I liked it so much and was nice for the size I ordered another one.
