Amazing value and quality.
I want to start out by saying this is NOT a vine product review I paid for this item with my own money so my opinion is very much my own and not influenced in any way. That being said I’m very happy with this purchase. I wanted to change the BB on my 2003 Trek 8000 Xl it’s 20 years old after all and originally had the ISIS Drive and I wanted to go to a 1x drivetrain. I wanted to change to the Hollowtech style and this option is all over YT (just search for “1x drivetrain conversion and you’re GOING to see this product) it’s seemingly the go to option for budget drivetrain conversions. So it already has the clout and is trusted by a large group of people so it was the obvious choice for my needs. Price was really great I could have spent twice this amount just on chainrings alone. Quality seems great, again, this product is well known as a great option so it’s tried and true. Everything was in perfect condition and well packaged upon delivery no scratches or dings to be found. I went with the 32t option and my rear cassette is a 9 speed (to be upgraded soon). Perhaps my baby isn’t your cup of tea BUT I love my bike and in my opinion this crankset looks amazing on it. The red looks so good (I have jockey wheels on the way to match now haha) it’s bright vibrant and nice and shiny. The bottom bracket was an absolute breeze to install, unfortunately the item didn’t come with any directions, however if you’re doing this conversion chances are like me you’ve watched a hundred videos on it and it’s all so simple and straightforward you won’t have many issues. Just be sure you’re looking at the cups for their markings each side is clearly labeled as r or l and even the direction you screw it in is labeled so you can’t easily mess this up. Make sure and grease it all up really well (I suggest the park tools grease available here on Amazon!) The crankset itself was much of the same it’s a no brainer, grease up that axle and push it through BUT be aware the non drive side has a cap that can be pushed out so keep your hand on it as you slide the axle through the drive side. But no fears because even if you know you need to do it and do it anyway like I did it’ll pop right back in. When installing the crank arms there are two set screws treat them like you were putting a wheel on your car, tighten one then tighten the other then repeat the process a few times until both are as tight as they can be (use a torque wrench for best results) and make sure and grease those splines! Install your pedals and you’re done that’s all there is to it! I didn’t use the plastic pedals it came with as those are a known weakness of this crankset but they are serviceable if choose to do so but I had some hapleby mtb flat pedals (also available here on Amazon) laying around so I installed those instead. The entire process from start to finish (I already had my old crankset removed) took less than an hour and I was back on the road. As I’ve said, this exact crankset is well tested and documented online, it’s the go to option for a cheap 1x setup and you’ll need that narrow wide chainring to aid in no chain dropping. I used one of the included spacers and got a perfect chain line so that’s another aspect you’ll want to research. All in all I’m extremely happy with this purchase, it looks great was easy to install and seems built like a tank. If you’re looking to do a 1x conversion without busting the bank THIS is your best option. Shipping was fast with no hassle as well. You really can’t go wrong here just do your due diligence beforehand make sure you have all the right tools (all available here on Amazon) and you’re good to go. So satisfied with this purchase and I think you will be too. I’ve rode about 30 miles so far on this now and it’s like a new bike.

Good and durable
This worked well on a Frankenstein mongoose mountain bike I was trying to salvage. Worked much better than the original cartridge.

Impressed
At 1st I was skeptical and really Payed attention to installation using extra grease and under torquing to prevent stripping but really had no issue. Built pretty solid and I’m impressed so far. Trek hardtail marlin looks extra clean and a blast to ride. Brings the ability to wanna push without frontal derailleur jumping or problems. Oval shape looks awesome too! Great value so we see In time. 👍👍♥️🤙🤙

Great crankset; partial crank seating with spacers, but works fine.
Works great! The bottom bracket feels smooth, and the crankset is strong and solid. The chainring does an excellent job holding the chain in place. However, the sizing seems a bit off. My bike has a 68mm bottom bracket shell, and the instructions specify adding two spacers to adapt it for a 73mm setup. With the spacers installed, the left crank arm doesn't fully seat onto the spindle, leaving about 5mm not fully engaged. The spindle isn't exposed, and the plastic lock nut still installs securely, but it's not perfectly seated. If I omit the spacers, the left crank arm fully seats onto the spindle, but the lock nut doesn't fit properly, and the chainring sits too close to the frame.I noticed the same partial seating issue in a YouTube installation video for a 73mm setup. Ultimately, I chose to use the spacers to keep the chainring correctly aligned. Even though the left crank arm isn't completely seated, everything seems stable and has been working fine so far. Still, it's unclear whether this crankset was specifically designed for 68mm or 73mm bottom bracket shells.

Good inexpensive replacement
Worked great on my old dog runner Iron Horse. (I broke the original in half..). The 3 spacers are all the same size. I had a thin one off a previous build that I used for one side.

Fit well on Trek series 3
Seems to fit and work well. Installed on trek 3900 mtb. Converted 3x8 to 1x8.

Cheap bearings.
Fit just fine. The bearings didn't last a year though. Find a better bottom bracket or just swap the bearings for something namebrand.
