Amazon Brand - Solimo for Dogs Large Dog (45-88 pounds) Flea and Tick Treatment, 6 Doses

This definitely works just as well as the name brands. We have two dogs, a Corgi and an Aussie, so they have thick coats. This is still effective even with their dense coats. We have had zero issues with fleas while using it. I haven't run into any safety issues with it like I have with other brands. (With another brand my cat that sleeps with one of our dogs had a seizure from the dog's flea treatment. It has not happed with this brand.) It does leave a greasy look, but for only a few days. It's easy to use and a great price considering how much name brands usually are.

We have used both Frontline Plus or Simparica Trio for flea treatment on our two large dogs. We’d been using Frontline Plus for the last ~year, usually only every 2-3 months as directed (you only need monthly for active fleas).I decided to give the Amazon brand a shot at the start of December 2023. It was cheaper and we had stopped taking our dogs to the dog park due to a bad dog sickness roaming our area, so they were at less risk for fleas anyways.We had a vet checkup for our shaved poodle about 3 weeks after Amazon’s first dose and the vet saw a flea on her (probably from our one Christmas visit to family with outdoor dogs). We were sent home with 1 Nexguard flea treatment from the vet for her. With vet permission I gave it to our poodle a week early, and realized I forgot to get a 2nd Nexguard for our other dog, a husky. I gave our husky a second Amazon dose thinking that would at least kill any fleas on him now, and we’d keep him home for the next month before getting him a different medication. We cleaned our home from top to bottom 2 days later. And yet a week later we found some fleas on our husky. Nothing on our poodle.Needless to say, this medication isn’t effective. We’ve NEVER had fleas before, even though we used to go to the dog park every day and visited this family quite regularly. Will never buy this again.

Sooo normally we use Comfortis which works perfectly, but it does not protect against ticks. We went camping and my pup with this on had no ticks vs my pup with Comfortis who had about 8-10 ticks a day. This stuff works, just not as well for fleas as more expensive brands and again it won’t help with an infestation, but does well as a repellent. Update: I’ve used this product for 3 months and it’s working well for fleas and ticks. 2 more camping trips and no ticks burrowed. Flea bites are minimal and no flea infestations. I’ll be using this for both pups during tick season and Comfortis for the off season as needed. That will cut down on costs and still be effective. My pups are also MDR1 sensitive and this product doesn’t bother them. No side effects witnessed.

This hasn't worked for my 2 huskies. I don't know if we have super fleas, but I am so frustrated this isn't working! The price point was good, but not if I have to buy the more expensive treatments anyway. Still might be worth a try?

I have used bravecto too expensive every 3 months I tried seresto pricy as well but lasts a long time, this amazon I got it for $20 6months 🤯 I am on my 3rd month no fleas, I saw the reviews about this product killing dogs, look up reviews dogs dying as well on bravecto seresto Frontline, these medicines aren't for sensitive doggies, as with all new medication you need to monitor your babies for side effects, if you see distress rinse it off quickly, it's very sad but it happens, over all I am satisfied but I'll probably go back to seresto I don't like remembering to put the medicine monthly, but next time I feel a pinch in my bank account this is my go too 👍
