I'm (still) in love with this color
I've used Clairol colors for a long time, mainly their semi-permanent line "Basic Instincts" but also sometimes the permanent "Nice and Easy". Recently I haven't been very satisfied with either and decided to give the "Age Defy" a try.Wow, I love the color. It turned out like the color shown on the box. (8 Medium blonde in my case.) My hair came out with a beautiful shine and still shows some variations in tone. All my gray is covered. No "brass". My hair is as soft as ever.Application was pretty easy and didn't smell horrible or irritate my skin. My only wish would be for them to supply LOOSER gloves: it's a bit tricky to take tight gloves off after applying the color to your roots and then to put them back on 30 minutes later to do the rest of your hair. Ironically the really cheap loose plastic gloves are preferable for coloring hair than better fitting gloves IMO. But you can always buy your own disposable gloves for the second stage of the color application. This is my new go-to color, and I've added it to my Subscribe and Save list so I can get it sent to me automatically.UPDATE: it's been 2 months since I used this product and I still love this color. Yes my gray roots are starting to show but the color on the rest of my hair is still lovely. No fading at all!

Terrific! Love the Age Defy formula! Shiny soft hair!
I wish I could find this in local stores, but I can’t. It is the perfect color for me as close to my natural color as I’ve found. I LOVE the shine and the slight variation in depth of color. It looks 100% natural instead of that flat, full, one color, screaming you “just colored your hair” result you get from some hair color. I only use the Age Defy because it leaves hair soft, shiny and looking healthy. Highly recommend!!

It's Good
Its not exactly what I was looking for but it did the job. They have discontinued my regular color of 20 years and I was looking for something about the same. I had used anther brand in the color Medium Beige Blonde bb8 and this looked similar so I gave it a try. The results were good , the color came out nice not brassy or red. My hair felt soft and I guess it's the closest I'm going to find to my old favorite so I will stick with it. I have very long hair and did have a bit of a time trying to make sure I had enough to cover all my hair on my head, I suggest to start at the roots first and go from there.

Better than nothing!
So since I can’t go sit in my hairdressers chair and let her work her magic on my hair, I resorted to box hair color! I was surprised by this . It covers grey hair well. I’m naturally blonde going grey. As we all know, grey hair has a mind of its own. Follow the instructions, use the conditioner at the end. It’s really good. It will have to do till COVID 19 stops reeking havoc on my life!

Horrible
Clairol Age Defying Hair Dye is one of my favorites. However, I was horrified at how stiff & apparently old the creme color in this box was. No matter how hard I squeezed the tube, it would not flow out of the opening like it was supposed to. Instead, both sides & the bottom of the tube bursted open & the creme oozed out and created a mess. I am disappointed that apparently I am thought so little of as a customer that the seller thought this would be acceptable.

Wonderful hair color. Leaves hair soft and conditioned without bad smell
I love the formula of this hair color. The pre-conditioner and then the hair color it’s south feels so good. It does not have a bad smell like some hair colors. The color is a little lighter than the box but my hair was very light to begin with. I feel that over time it will look even better. The condition and left my hairy and I will never use anything else.

A Great Product with some Problems!
This is basically a five star product with some problems that could be corrected by the manufacturer. I read a review by a professional hair colorist who said that it was as good as any salon product and I agree. It leaves my hair soft and manageable and holds the color on the part of my hair that is white for at least five weeks. But here are the problems:(A) My hair is naturally dark blonde with white "wings" along the sides of my face which I have been covering for years with Nice and Easy, Natural Medium Neutral Blonde # 103a. But the color washed out of the white "wings" before the end of a month so when it became available, I tried Age Defy Medium Blonde # 8. The results were slightly darker than what I was used to with Nice and Easy but the color held on the white "wings" for more than a month. The next month, the Age Defy color was darker still and after several months, my hair color was dark blonde. Not what I want! I want to be medium blonde. When Age Defy Light Blonde # 9 became available, I switched to it and after a couple of months, my hair returned to medium blonde. Age Defy may be designed for people with very grey hair or white hair and maybe when they use Medium Blonde # 8, they actually get medium blonde and get light blondewith Age Defy Light Blonde # 9. But if you expect your hair to be lightened with Age Defy, go at least a color lighter than you woulduse with Nice and Easy.(B) Age Defy is advertised as a good cover for grey hair and it truly does a good job of covering grey as well as leaving hair soft and manageable! But most people with grey hair who are using Age Defy are probably middle aged or older women. And many of ushave weak hands and arms from arthritis or other causes. Nice and Easy has a bottle of color and a bottle of bleach. Both are easyto open. Age Defy is a thick cream that comes in a tube and the lids on the tubes are screwed down so tightly that I always have ttake the rubes to the basement to open them with pliers. Not only that, but the cream in the tube is so hard to squeeze out of thetube that my hands ache by the time I get it all squeezed into the bottle of bleach.I have returned to using Nice and Easy. It is easier to prepare and apparently its formula has changed some as now my "wings" stay colored as long as rest of my hair and I need to re-color only when my root grow-out demands it.Age Defy is so inconvenient to use that I have gone back to using Nice and Easy. And by the way, Nice and Easy's formula must have changed a little bit because now my white "wings" seem to hold the color for more than a month with us!

Love it.....
This color is perfect for me and is applied easily. My hair is shiny, not damaged, it's just very difficult to find in stock anywhere. I hope they don't quit making this, I'm 76 years young and have been pleased with my results for over 10 years.
