Love these! They are delicious and crunchy snacks right out of the can, and that's usually how I eat them. You should take note that they will get chewy pretty quickly if you don't keep them in an airtight container. BUT that is not the end of the world -- there are still plenty of uses for them. We have a special needs adult son who has chewing issues, and is not a big fan of fruit in general. I take these apple slices, reconstitute them for about 15 minutes in hot water, chop them up and pile them on pancakes; cover it all with maple syrup, and he's in 7th heaven. It really is tasty! When I'm feeling more ambitious, I use them reconstituted in apple pies and tarts, even apple bread and muffins, which he approves of as well, and much easier than dealing with all the peeling and chopping of fresh apples.

Unopened product for long term emergency supplies. Counting on vitamin C, fruit flavor adding to diet variation. I wish these came in smaller cans as well. For a single person, the same clock starts ticking when you first open that can. These can also be re-bagged in foil seal pouches, but that is every time you use some. The product can be snipped with scissors and added to oatmeal w/a little cinnamon. Layer unsalted crackers with these, add a little water and campfire bake for an Apple Pie, adding butter, cinnamon, sugar to personal taste. That works in a sandwich press for singles as well. I suggest trying out, using products for your family, that way they will be more accepting of the products if a need arises to rely on these for important nutrition. Try incorporating them in "All Hands On Deck" Camping Weekends. Everyone has chores, Cooking, a Fire Keeper, Supply Counter, Energy Zarr, Medic, USO Officer/entertainment. Next trip everyone gets a different job to do. If we know how to get through rough strange patches, we do not tend to stress, worry or fear. Make it fun.

Very tasty straight from the can! Never got around to actually cooking with them as we snacked on them. Sweet apple taste. Will order again

Contents sound somewhat broken inside. Can't open it until doomsday, so hoping the tastes makes up for any damage. Still loving Auguson Farms!

I love these!! I snacked on them right out of the can ! I also rehydrated them to see how that workedTasted great both ways. I'll be ordering more and serving them as snacks at my family vacation! Yummmy!

Don't let the size of the can or the label fool you. The can is only 1/2 full and the "slices" were small chips. I was disappointed for sure.

The Auguson Farm dehydrated apple slices arrived undamaged with the included plastic lid used for short term resealing after opening in a vacuum sealed number 10 sized metal can.Delicious as a recipe addition or by themselves.Love the longer term storage that you get with the dehydration method here. When needed to rehydrate with water simply follow the directions on the can, easy peasy!
