Kindle download has been fixed!
The Kindle/Comixology team has finally updated this download to the correct contents. I still need to go through it page by page, but it looks like it's now safe to buy this book on Kindle!Which is a good thing because Hickman's run is arguably the best the Fantastic Four has been in a long time.Highly Recommended!Previous review (June 8, 2021):The downloaded file is exactly the same as volume 2, even the cover. Kindle team, please fix this!

Mostly a Climactic "Finale"!
Mostly a climactic "finale"!There's a huge part of this book, in the front, that I was not particularly into.I believe the popular opinion is Marvel's space is a huge fave of comic readers. Personally I dont connect to most of it.So the Inhumans and Kree stuff going on here was only somewhat interesting to me.The rest of this book feels as if it is the magnum opus climax of this phenomenal run!! Several moments were particularly jaw dropping and there's every plot thread woven through so well!!!

An epic finale with lots of flaws
I want to like this volume more than I do. As a big dumb action movie, this thing delivers. It’s chock full of big set pieces and it’s very hard to find a place to stop reading because each chapter ends with you desperate to find out what happens next. Simply put: if the sight of Galactus opening up a can of whup-ass on a bunch of Celestials doesn't make you squee with delight (sorry to spoil a decade old story), well, you really shouldn’t even be considering buying this thing, should you? It truly is impressive to see the full scope of Hickman’s epic, the way all the multitude of plot threads weave together in the grand finale. On the other hand, the more you tug at those threads, the more the whole thing unravels. I believe Hickman truly cares about the FF as people (as much as fictional characters can be “people”). But he has little interest in spending time with them, because there’s too much plot to get through--so much that many plot elements get ignored in the mad dash to the finish line. The whole “War of the Four Cities” plot essentially just stops dead once it officially intersects with the “Council of Reeds” plot. (The old Atlaneans barely get a mention; and Sue is supposed to be their ruler!) The conclave of super villains, so important in the second half of volume 2, are likewise swept away after the first couple issues. Ben Grimm’s return in issue 600 is treated as a momentous homecoming; perhaps it would be if anyone had even once mentioned him or commented on his absence until that moment.Worse, Hickman resorts to a slew of narrative tricks to either generate emotion when it’s unearned (like Grimm’s return to the team) or to deliver exposition so vital to understanding what Hickman’s trying to do that he literally interrupts a climax to flash back to two characters talking to provide the context. (Nathaniel Richard’s whole character can be summed up as “he’s a super-genius… at delivering exposition.”) Several times Hickman has a scene of two characters talking, and then a few pages (or an issue) later, he revisits the same conversation but suddenly shows that there was actually more to the conversation than we first saw. Do that once and it’s a nice surprise. Do it repeatedly and you’re just not playing fair with your audience.I can see why so many people consider Hickman’s run on “Fantastic Four” to be one of the best. As I said, the pure scope of his story, the way he weaves (most of) the disparate elements is impressive. His dialogue is sharp and witty. His ideas and concepts are inventive. But in the end, his reach exceeds his grasp and I am left thinking more of what this story could have been, rather than what it is.

Wrong Download Received
I also received The Complete Collection Volume 2 when I downloaded the Kindle version of this item. I was able to contact customer service and return it for a refund. The preview for this item as well as the full file is content from Volume 2. The preview on the Volume 2 product page is for Volume 3, but when you download that full file it is indeed Volume 2. I also believe the covers for Volumes 2 and 3 are incorrect and should be swapped.UPDATE: As of 5/19/2021, the digital version of Fantastic Four by Jonathan Hickman: The Complete Collection Vol. 3 was removed from Amazon and then re-listed today. Though the cover and sample are correct, when I repurchased the kindle version and downloaded it to my device, it was still Volume 2. Had to return it for a refund yet again.***SECOND UPDATE*** As of 6/28/2021, the the cover and sample remain correct, but when downloaded, it was still Volume 2. Had to get another refund. Does anyone care? Peddling duplicate garbage doesn't concern anyone with the capacity to rectify the content error?***THIRD UPDATE*** As of 9/6/2021, the content of this file remains that of Volume 2. I feel like I'm dying inside.

Hickman yay, Marvel booo
The media could not be loaded. I'm giving this thing 4 stars because Hickman's Fantastic Four run is one the most legendary runs in comics history. I personally consider it a modern comics masterpiece. So many moving parts and Hickman succeeds in tying everything together right down to the last issue. I took one star off because Marvel knows well that Hickman's name sells (especially his Fantastic Four run), so they've been holding off from releasing his complete collections of this particular run because $$$. Honestly, this collection should've released years ago but Marvel isn't dumb and it shows, because we're still waiting for Hickman's Fantastic Four omni reprints as well as his vol 1 and vol 2 complete collections--and Marvel knows that if they reprint them it'll sell out like hotcakes. In the meantime, sigh, we'll be waiting another few months--or even a year--for the last complete collection of Hickman's Fantastic Four run (which are pretty much epilogue/swan song/love letter issues pertaining to the Fantastic Four family and my goodness are they elegant and optimistic).Peace.P.S. very sorry for terrible pics/video:(
