All the reason why “life sized” Dolls are Creepy!
*This movie was perfectly written and directed...that I must give a formal (Recognition of Excellence) to all Producers and Writers involved in this production…Job well done guys!Warning: may not be suitable for small kids under 10 years of age, so parents be “warned.”The Premise: This movie explains the (who, what, where, why and when) Annabelle came into existence. The story is sad, scary and creepy. This movie is “damn” good and WILL scare the “HELL” out of you. It give movies like: “Drag me to Hell” and the original “Exorcist” two black eyes and a bloody noise…it’s really that good!My thoughts: I was caught off guard by the intensity of this movie. It gets into your subconscious and burns into the psyche of your mind. It’s so realistic and graphic that it will scare you to death. There is blood, gore and carnage. This movie is ALL the reason why I don’t like “life-sized” Dolls…very creepy indeed! Overall, excellent character development, and a great story that truly answers all questions and ties up all lose ends. Excellent acting by all actors, excellent movie props, and movie sets, make-up, period attire and accessories down to the finest detail.*Recommend purchase of Blu-ray or online rental streaming. Blu-ray is always the better quality. When you stream, the quality is slightly diminished and is compressed…facts! The Facts:1. Running Time: 1 hr. 49 min.2. Widescreen HD.3. Sound 5.1 DTS-HD (Excellent sound quality).4. State of the Art high quality CGI effects.5. Beautiful cinematography.6. A sad and scary story, kind of predictable, but easy to follow.7. No dry areas at ALL…keeps you concerned or worried.8. There is blood, gore and carnage.9. Excellent character development.10. Excellent Friday Night Horror, Halloween or Weekend Movie.11. Not suitable for viewing by small kids under 10.Thank you!

Pants peeingly scary.
I peed my pants and scared my dogs. That is all. I have to sleep alone in the basement tonight. I want my mommy. Who would ever make a horrid doll like Annabelle anyway? Who would buy it for their daughter? Not me. Not in a million years. All dolls are ruined thanks to her.

Ultimately Enjoyable
A nun and a bunch of orphan girls move into a house with a dark history. One of them finds a creepy-ass doll known as Annabelle locked away in a room wallpapered with pages from the Bible. As one might expect, stuff soon goes south for everybody in the house. The strength of Annabelle: Creation is in the construction of its scares. It blessedly avoids the stale "all audio drops out and then a big-loud jumpscare," method. But, that's not to say it doesn't utilize silence and jumpscares. The most effective moment involves a picture that a character keeps moving in and out of the light. It's a very quiet scene that only seeks to unsettle, and it succeeds. It's also just reminder that the simplest things have the potential to have the biggest impact. The film falters when it gives us a good look at a demon, the big-bad of the movie, which it does in the final act. I really wish filmmakers could leave these things in the shadows and mostly unseen. The demon here is quite creepy when it stares from the dark with its glowing eyes. Not so much when it's hanging from the ceiling, looking like some goateed hipster who just climbed out of a soot-covered chimney. The movie gets stuck spinning its wheels near the end, almost as if it needs to drag out the story to two hours for contractual reasons. The girls end up running here and there with all story momentum dropping to a halt. The epilogue with one of the girls growing up also seems a bit unnecessary, aside from tying the film directly into the first movie. But, with all that said, even with all its flaws, it's an ultimately enjoyable experience.

Great Movie!
I don't understand all the negative reviews of this movie. I think that by the time you get to a 3rd movies, in a series, you've come to expect certain things. At the same time, you aren't looking to critique a movie in every way you can think of. That's the only reason I can think of as to why this movie didn't get the credit it deserved. It was just as good as the first 2 movies. I felt like it had just the right amount of scare in it that you'd expect. And, it kept to the plot explaining how Annabelle came to be. I think if you're a fun of 1 and 2, then you'll like this movie too. Enjoy!

Oh, well. Next.
The above rating is for the film, not the blu-ray product. It's me. This film builds nothing for me. I care about no one, and everyone seems to be there just so they can fulfill some sort of plot point. The director seems to use the technique of making the audience feel helpless at all times by never filming in a pleasing way and never having a character do something sensible or wise. For me, this is a poor substitute for true atmosphere and suspense. My favorite horror films include The Shining, What Lies Beneath, The Changeling, Stir of Echoes, The Exorcist, Jaws, The Sixth Sense, the 2017 version of IT, Halloween (I also enjoyed Halloween 2018), and others of that caliber. If You think those movies are old or lame, then You might indeed enjoy this film. I'm not hating, just letting You know this film didn't do it for me other than lend me a sense that nothing would turn out well. That's not my idea of a good time.

ANNABELLE SHOULD NOT BE DISTURBED
With 'Annabell Comes Home' currently in the cinema, thought it about time I gave it's a prequel to the 2014 Annabelle a spin, the film a supernatural/horror movie in the Conjuring series is directed by James Wan.12 years after the accidental death of their daughter Annabelle (Bee) the Mullins open their home up as shelter to Sister Charlotte's six girls she cares for when their home is forced to close.Crippled orphan Jannice discovers a note saying 'find me' which leads her to Bee's room which she had been told isout of bounds by Samuel Mullin(Anthony LaPaglia) a dollmaker by trade, however, when the door strangely becomes unlocked Janice (Talitha Eliana Bateman) enters. The room has been preserved as it was when Bee was alive, much for Janice to marvel at, however she is drawn toa door within the room, finding the key, she opens it, sat in a rocking-chair the doll Annabelle.Disturbing what was best left alone will trigger a terrifying sequence of events within the home which will affect all.The Doll has a presence within it...Always found tales involving Dolls coming to life as it were a little unnerving in truth, this film certainly has one or two shock moments along the way.Essentially a film of tension without necessarily relying on visual gore to tell the often chilling tale.

Seriously Scary
If you love proper supernatural horror, with frequent hide behind your sofa scares then this is definitely for you. This is right up there with the scariest film of recent years for me - ‘Sinister’. Quite frankly if this film doesn’t scare you, then nothing will! Anyone writing a poor review of this film simply isn’t into this type of horror, end of story.Crank up the volume and get ready to hide!

Excellent film full of scary points, great film, buy it...
Excellent film if you want a scare and believe the Annabelle curse. I have never found a film that has made me jump, however this film does it in buckets, it has a basic simple plot but it makes you think back to going to sleep under the quilt for safety from the scary monster. The film is a great film on the whole don't believe reviews who say it's poor, it is not true at all. Long films that derive from a true story such as Annabelle

Bit Scary
Actors and storyline are marvellous to which brings this show a must watch to touch the horror that it gives. I rated this an A grade plus a lot of ideas and nerve tense moments to keep you happy. A group of girls under the supervision of a nun are offered boarding after the orphanage is shut down. Want more well this is next the girls become targets and now no more hints as not to spoil it for you. Don't eat popcorn while watching, fairy floss is easy to clean during the movie great entertainment throughout so sit down and relax and enjoy.

Good addition to the Conjuring series
I think this film is a solid addition to the Conjuring series. Plenty of building tension, quite a few genuine jump moments and the gory bits are executed with reasonable subtlety for a horror movie these days (i.e. there is no over the top gratuitous gore). Best of all, the characters are believable and the story adds a convincing foundation for the story behind Annabelle. If dolls really do give you the creeps, I'd stay away from this one.
