Excellent quality RAM for an upgrade
Well-packaged, easy to fit and a massive upgrade to an ageing HP laptop, this 16GB RAM set took just seconds to install and has already made a huge difference to the laptop performance. Quality is predictably good - it's Crucial, after all! With this upgrade in place, the life of my laptop has been extended.

Works Fine in Synology NAS
Purchased for a RAM upgrade to a Synology DS920+ which has 4GB Synology RAM memory installed as standard. (This is the third Synology NAS I have upgraded successfully with Crucial RAM modules).Installation is simple with the DS920+ NAS. Shutdown the NAS and remove the power cord, connect yourself to a earth or ground source using a anti-static wrist-strap if available. Alternatively, be very careful handling the memory module. It is very static sensitive - ground yourself on the bare floor (no socks; no carpet) before removing memory module from the packaging. Place NAS on uncarpeted floor.I suspect others who have experienced issues (i.e. faulty RAM memory) when upgrading the RAM modules to their NAS devices its because they unknowingly staticly zapped the module before installation hence the systems eratic behaviour and corruption (classic faulty memory symptoms).Crucial do not sell faulty RAM! I have been buying their memory modules for over 20 years for computers and the like and have never received a faulty module out of the box if handled correctly.Anyway back to the installation. Once you have powered down the NAS (DS920+ or DS1522+) and disconnected the power supply. Make a note of which drive is in which bay. They must be returned to the same drive bay they were removed from. Remove the drives from the bays.Facing the NAS turn it 90 degrees clockwise, so it is laying on its right side. Look inside the cavity near the opening of the last bay you will see the memory module SODIMM slot.Ensure you have the memory module the correct way round before installation by lining up the slot in the module and NAS motherboard. Gently offer it up to the motherboard slot check alighnment and push forward then down to gently clip it in the memory module retainers.Be 100% sure your installation is correct - failure to seat the memory module correctly may cause data corruption and system errors, or in extreme cases damage the NAS and/or memory module.Return your NAs to its correct orientation. Replace all your drives in there respective bays - reconnect the power and switch the NAS on. Note it may boot for about 30 seconds - power down completely and boot again after a few seconds, please do not remove the power or disturb this process, just leave it to boot normally after it has initialized the new memory module.I hope this helps?

Works well by Poor Packaging
Fit nicely into my HP Envy x360 15. Too a few seconds but booted up just fine. However I have to say I was unimpressed with thr flimsy packaging. For something that's supposed to have a 5 year warranty, I expected, atleast some type of warranty card to come with this, along with some proof of purchase or something.

Great upgrade HP Prodesk 405 G6 mini
A really good price for 2 x 8GB sticks of PC3200 ram SODIMM - installed into my tiny HP ProDesk 405 G6 pc to replace the standard single stick of ram. Easy to install and gives a decent performance boost. Running Windows 11 Pro.
