Made an adapter to convert from the old size to this new size.Suits up so no over spray out of small pink.Elevated pump to pull in less stuff.Used large size paper clip the clear ports then squirted water backwards though unit to clear out stuff.

Dissing cheap chicom ( or maybe chicap/com these days? If you’re old enuf to remember “Terry and The Pirates” in the fishwrap medium, you know the difference) fake crap on Amazon is a popular passtime but here’s a <10$ set of fountain spray heads that work very well with a small AC pump plumbed with 1/2’ Tygon tubing. The mushroom is particularly nice and very easy to adjust to a three lobe tulip. Another head produces an intermittent spiral with varying center column hgt. One head has substitutable heads secured by a threaded central core. There are no instructions and only rudimentary illustration of disassembly so this particular head is useless to those with limited patience for a mechanical puzzle. All the extension tubes are a decent friction fit to the heads and the tubing I use and recommend. The objection to the inline valve extender that it is nearly impossible to adjust is correct. None of this kit is going to survive in a plumbed pond like brass and stainless but for a recirc hummingbird bath shaded from UV, most bits will survive a couple of years.

During testing, the combination of the unit's height/weight and water pressure caused the extension with the mushroom nozzle to tip my pump over and a piece broke out of the nozzle. I managed a repair by filling in the missing piece with a product that bonds to plastic when cured with UV light, and then shaped and reinforced the whole top with fiberglass and resin. It's now MUCH stronger and works just fine, as is shown in the accompanying video.***************************************************************************************************************Original review:Well, this is kind-of a hot mess. As other users have pointed out:1) The 'instructions' are virtually useless, being printed on the back of the packaging.2) Some parts shown are either not included or differ from what is shown in the picture.3) Some of the pieces don't seem to fit together -- you have to cobble something together.Special bonus! There are 5 spray patterns depicted. 4 of them appear to be identical. How handy! (Pardon my sarcasm…)I did manage to get the mushroom pattern to work, which is what I wanted the most. I have am 800GPH pump, which is quite powerful and the size adjusts over a large range.If you don't mind tinkering, figuring things out and maybe making a couple of trips to the hardware store to buy something that will connect this to your pump, it may be a good buy. If you're easily-frustrated or uncreative -- make a different choice.

The media could not be loaded. The spray head for the mushroom comes completely closed and is hard to lift up. If you had a small little tool like maybe a tiny flathead screwdriver or one of those little screwdriver hooks it would probably pull it up. I didn't and I used my teeth instead lol.I think that's why this is returned a lot because people don't know and it's not obvious. I've had one of these before so I already knew how it would work. Whoever's packaging these is pushing it all the way in!

This package contained one single adapter that fit the extenders on one hand and the fitting on my standard-issue little pump on the other hand, and that adapter - about an inch long -cracked and became useless in less than two weeks. So the whole package was of no use. Very disappointing.

I made this purchase early into building bird baths for humming birds in my backyard. Turns out hummingbirds don't appreciate a lot of fanfare. So this was overkill for me. That doesn't mean this is a bad product. Later (much, much later) I will use this product for a water feature in my backyard. I expect this will be great for that, pushing more water higher and faster than my current needs. Solid kit though.
