Simple and excellent
Very simple UI, very compact, solidly build, three good and sensible brightness levels, and efficient in its use of batteries.

Usual fenix perfection
Fenix flashlights have always been the brand i go to for quality and dependability at a great price and this little EDC typifies the brand perfectly . It's perfectly made in every way works flawlessly and basically just does the job it's designed for with added class . Don't get me wrong this is no self defence weapon like their TK16 v2 ( which I also own ) but as the ultimate everyday use flashlight ( which the Tk16 isn't with it's light saber like brightness ) this one excels . Stick it in your pocket or around your neck on a lanyard under your t-shirt and your sorted . Me I find the TK16 perfect for venturing into those riskier areas but this one is a more 24/7 job for real life use day to day . Honestly get yourself a fenix like this you deserve one and you'll wonder why you waited so long before you did . Utterly fantastic little flashlight !

One Year Long-Term Review
Having used this for just a few days less than one year, my likes and dislikes about the torch have changed. What I like:Tiny size, barely bigger than a single AA battery.Tail switch, slightly recessed to avoid accidental operation.Very soft pressure needed to change from low -> medium -> highEfficient use of battery power, long battery life.Overall, it feels good, barely noticeable in a pocket or bag. What I don't like:Colour of light produced, a slightly greenish tint. At the brightest setting it produces plenty of light but it is still hard to see things properly. My taste has changed towards high CRI emitters which would give a more natural appearance. Conclusion:Good to carry around because of its size and dependability.original review is below:- - - - - - - -Can be operated by twisting the head. Most of the torches I've bought, even expensive brand-name ones, fail when the on-off switch breaks. This has a push-button switch, but works just as well by twisting the top to turn it on and off instead. Saves wear and-tear on the fragile moving parts.Another good feature is it comes on in low-brightness mode, great for indoor night-time use. And no flashing modes - what a relief.Works well on nearly-exhausted batteries, just doesn't give up.Cons - could brighter. For similar or lower cost I've had brighter single-AA torches.

Solid little pocket carry
This Fenix was my choice to replace a somewhat bulkier pocket carry torch. I've been very impressed with the Fenix so far, it's lightweight, barely bigger that the AA battery it takes and the three levels of brightness are near perfect. The low level which always comes on first (That was one of the reasons I chose this torch, the fact that the low comes on first and you have to turn it up rather than down) is perfect for indoors in the event of a power cut and the brighter levels are great for when you need that bit extra. I've had no problems with switching between levels and find the tail clicky switch to feel very nice. I can't really talk about the durability of the finish yet, but if any of my other, older Fenix torches are anything to go by, it will have a durable finish. My one disappointment is the fact that it's very difficult to attach a split ring for a secure lanyard. The pocket clip feels solid, but I much prefer a solid connection to my belt and the holes in the body of the torch are really only big enough for the string loop that comes with the torch rather than a proper split ring hence knocking off one star.Other than that, it's a great little torch for every day carry.

Very small!
I was surprised at how small this thing is! I had a Fenix e11 years ago and lost it, so I thought I’d replace it with Fenix’s up to date ‘edc’ torch. This e12 v2 is a lot smaller… it really took me by surprise! This is not a bad thing- it’s really perfect for a pocket torch. I like the settings, the highest mode is really bright with a nice flood. Has the same sturdy fenix quality I remember from my old E11 and other Fenix’s I have experience with. Very cool torch!
