This is such a simple product that we have used for so many things. Color coordination, people to play with for pretend play, families to add to board game play and for counting. We even put them in Jello! The cats are a cute addition too. I can’t tell you how many times my toddler has grabbed these just because. Great find, sturdy and very versatile. My only complaint is the container is so flimsy and broke within a week.

My grandson has magnets that he makes houses out of & then puts these figures in the houses. They are great to make families and friends with a pet cat. They are durable & can be put back in the container when he is done playing with them. I am very pleased with them!

Love these manipulatives! Great for sorting, counting, talking about families, pretend play and more. I was pleasantly surprised that they came in an organized set, (two of each character in each color) as I assumed the color/character assortment was random. So much fun to play with, the limbs are pliable, and don't seem to be prone to easy breaking. Some of the figures don't stand up at all and many aren't steady, but still a fabulous product! Parents really hold the baby and sturdy parents can still stand while holding the baby. Great quality! We also purchased the dinosaur set and love those too

These family counters have been a great addition to our Family Unit, they allow for sorting by size, color, making patterns and just free playing and being imaginative.

Just bought my second set of these. I teach kindergarten and use the toy people with our magnatiles building set. The kids absolutely love them and the addition of people enhances their play with the magnetic building tiles. They are very durable and have not sustained any casualties yet (used for only one year so far). I bought extras because this year’s class is much larger than last year’s and I didn’t want scarcity driven fights. These toy people are an amazing value compared with duplo, playmobil, or any other small figures.

When buying this product, I noticed that many, many reviewers mentioned that their set did not stand up. As you can see in the picture, all 72 of mine do stand up, even when the baby is attached to the hip of the large figures (haven’t tried the smaller ones). Overall, I think it’s a good product, pretty much exactly as advertised. I would definitely caution against buying these for kids under three, and even three year olds (in my opinion) need supervision. The smaller pieces are very small, so I think maybe 4-5+ would be more appropriate without heavy supervision. If you have an avid chewer, I can definitely see them chewing limbs or heads off. But the product is as described, it’s not advertised as a chew toy after all, and I think that it can help sort by size, sort by color, count, and open discussion about different family structures. I’m happy with this purchase, and it was a good price- especially in comparison to some of Learning Resources other counters.

I love these and my students love them more They are great manipulatives for learning.

As a homeschool mom to many, I collect activities for my preschoolers to do for “school”. Before directing in any way I simply dumped all of these people in a basket and gave them to my 4 year old to just observe what he would do. He played for at least an hour, first creating our family (which is large), then sorting by color, then by size, etc. He even started creating his own patterns in a line. I had no idea he would love these so much. My 2 year old and 20 month old also love these, just beware of the small size of course. I am very happy with this purchase!
