Nutramax Cosequin 80 Sprinkle Capsules for Cats

This stuff works. After only a few days, our almost 20 yr old cat has started using the downstairs litter box (previously he had opted for the upstairs one, we assumed to avoid the stairs). He had been jumping well before, but pausing after like it cost him a little. The biggest thing was he had begun peeing over the edge of the litter box because he wasn’t comfortable squatting low anymore. That has now completely stopped! We are now about a week in and have been giving him half a capsule in his morning and nighttime wet food meals and he seems to be sleeping better, waking perkier, and just happier all around. The money this will save me on pee pads will mean this pays for itself! And he’s so much happier now that he makes it in the litter box every time. His pride has been restored!

My cat was having troubles with his joints and wasn’t jumping around on stuff like he used to. I started giving him this and he has improved a lot. He is now able to jump around more. I’m happy with this product and glad it helps my cat few better

I started giving my 2 large 17 yo cats 2 of these every morning, sprinkled on their wet food. Within a few weeks they were moving better, within 5 weeks, they are walking stairs and jumping up on the couch with more ease. I can definitely tell a difference. My girl is less bitchy too, vet says it’s because she’s not in as much pain. So this has definitely been worth the money. They are both ridiculously picky eaters, it took a few different brands to find one they will eat, but they both like this brand!!!

Seems like it might help after just a few doses, but also seems like my kitties don't like the taste.My older cats get wet food or paste (like Nulo tubes or Tiki toppers) as a treat vs their normal dry food. I tried adding a half to whole capsule worth of powder (less than a whole dose) either on top of their paste or mixed in, and they very clearly noticed the difference and stopped eating after a moment. Oops.One capsule pictured with a US Dollar Coin for scale.The wet treats they get are VERY strong flavored based on the smell, so this stuff must taste pretty obviously bad to them. Not sure if Nutramax could have done something to improve the flavor.But it seemed to help to mix the powder into water and add THAT to the wetfood, but even then I'm hesitant to give them more than a half capsule to each. In my mind, it's like my sucking on a glucosamine tablet. Once the coating breaks down, it's not tasty. Eating is one of kitties true pleasures, and it's important to not take that away from them by ruining the flavor of their favorite treats.But I DO see some extra vitality in them from just the mini doses, and since they won't touch the Nutramax chews (after the first few days, they ignore them) this is my current best bet to help ease their aging joints.

This supplement has helped my elderly cat tremendously! His back legs and hips got to the point he was struggling to walk. I started him on this supplement and now you wouldn’t know he’s had any problems.

Maybe it's my imagination, but my kitty seem to feel better that same afternoon. She didn't even notice that I had put it in her food.
