great company, great saw and after sales support. .
This Big Foot saw is a quality made in USA tool. The engineering and manufacturing quality is obvious when you get it out of the box and use for the first time. The saw works great for cutting oversized wood. the plate is perfectly square to the blade so the cuts are perfect. If a carpenter cuts a lot of 4x4, 4x6, 4x8 and up this is the saw to get. I called on a minor issue and they actually answered the phone and resolved the blade issue in a few minutes. If all the companies on Amazon were this good fewer products would get returned

BIG FOOT VS SAWSQUATCH REVIEW:
Big Foot Tools is a great company with excellent service. Dino provides top notch service. My first Big Foot was purchased over 20 years ago and it was still running strong and somehow disappeared over the last year. So I purchased the newer Big Foot model which is improved over the previous model in many ways. The Big Foot far surpasses what the Sawsquatch provides as it is lighter, more well-balanced, has a wider table, and comes with a much better Big Foot blade. The Sawsquatch comes with a POS Diablo 40 tooth blade that will wobble and if you are ripping, do a really bad job leaving the top side somewhat straight and the bottom cut really wavy; whereas a Big Foot blade, are best in the market for these larger beam saws! I ripped a bunch of headers down with the Big Foot & Big Foot blade in place and cut straight on both sides perfectly! The Big Foot also cuts at a 90 degree angle depth of 3-7/8” where the Sawsquatch cuts 3-5/8”, both cut the same at a 45 at 2-3/4”. Both saws are made in China; however, the Big Foot is assembled in the USA. Big Foot has is 5300rpm where Sawsquatch is 4700rpm, which may be the only thing the Sawsquatch might (apparently the lower RPMs are too cut through the material better) have over the Big Foot; however, I have had no bogging down problems with the Big Foot saw at the 5300 RPMs. They also both cut up to a 51° angle. You can buy an accessory for the Big Foot though in which you remove the table and add a 75° table which you cannot do with the Sawsquatch! You can purchase a 24” Big Foot rip guide to use with the Super Sawsquatch or the Big Foot.

Big Saw for "professional" framers
Evidently in the time since the more critical reviews of this saw were written, the manufacturer has corrected the cosmetic flaws that existed with the earlier models. The fit and finish and resultant usability of this saw are as good as any available on the market today. This saw is heavier than the worm drive saws you might be used to. To use it one handed you need forearms like Popeye. That having been said, it is a wonderfully powerful saw, zipping through the hardest cuts you can throw at it. Knots in old wood and hidden nails do not even slow it down. You might get smoke and sparks, but that would be the only indication. No more having to roll 4x4 or 4x6 material to complete the cuts with your 7 1/4 inch saw, or finish the cut with a hand saw either. Big Foot does them in one pass. Another thing, and probably the most important in framing is that I can build a doubled rafter and cut it at 45 degrees or a lesser angle in one pass without having to follow up with the handsaw. If you are a builder you need this saw.

Have your Big Tom shipped inside it's factory box AND inside an Amazon Box
Have this product reboxed in its entirety into an Amazon shipping container. The factory box is flimsy and the taping job is not adequate for cross-country shipping. My box arrived completely open. As far as I can tell, however, everything was kept inside the box by Brown and all parts, manuals, stickers, blades, and motor unit arrived intact and undamaged. Looks like a serious circular saw to me, but I cannot comment as yet on its quality, usability, etc. as I have not yet used the saw. I'm guessing it will be a 5/5 power tool.

Great saw
This saw is a beast, it cuts effortlessly and handles great once you get used to it cutting on the opposite side which I was used to.

Big saw
I bought this saw to cut slices off premade walls for Habitat home building. Works great. Please note when installing blade, you must knock out the center circle so it's a diamond shape. There are you tube videos to show you how. Very important.
