Solid piece of equipment. Like everything else in life.. Take care of a quality equipment properly it will work for years to come. I will admit after a difficult job, I'm pretty tired and don't want to muck around cleaning everything to brand new status.. But if your not gonna use this tool over the next day or so.. Clean it out.Now don't panic if you don't.. You just need the solvent and something stiff/thin to clear out the top where the can of insulation spray connects to and a bit of the front nozzle.. But it will take a good amount of effort once that is dry so you waste time one way or another.Worked with all cans of insulation and had the adjustable end to reduce or increase the flow of insulation.Worth every penny. Now I have used it on 3 insulation jobs.. ( attic, window and around the basement walls around the garden hose pipe) and it's been great!

I like it way better than the disposable cans because you have more control on the flow rate and it is a way better deal.

Works as well as the 80 dollar one I bought

I purchased this gun because I did not want to pay that much for the Great Stuff gun at HD. I had never used one before so I did not know how useful they really are. I used 2 cans of foam with no issues. On the 3rd can the foam came out where the can and the gun screw together. Just like the pictures and description of some of the negative reviews. I went through almost a whole can of cleaner trying to get it to work. Got mad created a return. Then I thought I will go back to the half empty can that previously worked and it still did work no leaks. I used that can and several more no leaks. It finally quit working when I had to let it sit for a few days without any use. I needed to finish project and did not have time to wait for another one to arrive so I bought the expensive one at HD (but now I knew how useful they are so I didn't mind spending the extra money). Both the GS gun and this one apply the product the same. I think the GS gun will last longer and I was able to clean it up let it set for more than a week and then use it again and it still worked fine. However, I think if I had used the GS cleaning instructions with this gun it too would have lasted longer. Just to see what would happen I still had the can of foam that had not worked on this gun and I tried it on the GS gun. It leaked on that one too. On closer inspection I realized the threads were off on the can of foam and therefore it was not screwing on tightly causing a leak. So it is possible that some of the other reviewers had a bad can of foam instead of a faulty gun. I am not going to return this gun even though it did quit working. I think in the end it was not defective just not made of materials that will last forever and the cleaning instructions could be better. Use the GS video to learn how to clean this gun and you should be fine.

DO NOT BUY!!! This thing sat for a bit before I needed it then I finally pulled it out to use it and what a mess! the valve just leaks the spray out and depressurises your can so there goes $30, plus this gun so now I'm out over $70 because amazon recommended this junk!
