Ridiculously Supportive
Love these sandals! I've been searching for 2 years for a comfortable walking sandal. This one has a squishy yet super-supportive foot bed and adjustable straps. Be sure to read (and maybe hold onto) the cardboard insert in the shoe box. It shows you how to adjust the straps so they fit you perfectly. I love the arches and appreciate how it cradles my foot. I have a narrow heel and a wider toe box so I wasn't sure how they'd be but they fit great! Highly recommend!

New favorite chaco!!!
Written by my wife: I love my Z cloud chacos!! I have had the same pair of Z volv chacos for the past 5 years, but the bottoms were finally wearing out. So my husband had got a pair of Z cloud chacos last year and I decided to tryl that style. These are the BEST CHACOS you can get right now. No blisters on the bottom of my feet to break them in. I took them out of the box and wore them on a 2 mile hike with no issues! Every year before with my Z Volv pair I would get blisters on the bott of my feet each summer I had to break my feet in. These I don't have to! Unbelievably amazing. They had a super comfortable base. The straps are really long, I'm thinking that after this summer I'll ship them off to chaco to have them shortened. Also, these run true to size. I am a size 10 and the 10 fit perfect. My Z volvs I had to get an 11 so I think they changed the sizing a bit since 5 years ago.

Very comfortable, great arch support, durable, Great for Hiking Hills
Foot is quite secure in the shoe, even going up and down hills and hiking crumbly terrain. I even jog in them (a little, on a flat + smooth trail, so I can't speak to anyone who wants to run miles or on asphalt). Equally good for walking briskly on and off-road- plenty of cushion/ support on asphalt. I also bike in them and garden. They clean up well, have much more support than a typical sandal, and look fairly cute for running errands and things. I had a pair last through this lifestyle all last summer, and then for 2 months of rainy season in Vietnam, and they held up well with no sign of stopping. Lost them in Vietnam unfortunately, tried to be cheap and bought some teva's, but they didn't even remotely work for my active lifestyle so I just bought a replacement pair and am so happy I did. Love them!

Ok this is my honest review
Just received my sandals! Super excited to try them on and after messing with the straps my feet seem secure. The thing that really started bugging me was how the toes hanging out seem all loosey goosey, and the straps are way too long that I had to tuck them in in order not to trip on myself. I may cut them later. I really like the way they look though so I decided to walk down to the local pub. Honestly had I not had a cosmopolitan at the bar, I probably would have thrown them off in frustration and caught an Uber home. My knees hurt, my toes curled as I walked, and the straps felt too tight. But as I relaxed and trusted the process, my feelings of returning the sandals faded. Will I keep them, probably yes, are they comfortable right now? Not really. But I’m going to power through, and trust that all of the other reviews are correct and they will be the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned.

The best outdoor sandals
I’ve worn Chacos for a few years now. Within the last year I have noticed that many of my shoes have not been fitting me well and after getting fitted at stores, I discovered I needed to go up at least a whole size. Come to find out this can happen as you age as tendons and such in the feet relax and spread out due to fluctuations in weight and other factors. So sadly the size 8 Chacos I had been wearing had gotten too small although they were still in great condition. I went up to a 9 and they are perfect and I can enjoy wearing my favorite brand of sandals again. The arch is perfect. Not too little and not too much. I love the color too. I wear a lot of blues so these will be great. Also bought them in the off season at a great price.

Long straps!
These shoes have a good look to them. Totally adjustable for a snug fit. I think I would go crazy having to adjust them every time I put them on though. I appreciate the fact that the straps don’t go over the toes. The foot bed is more firm with very little cushion to them. I like more cushion. The arches are high and I really couldn’t figure out exactly where to place my foot to get the best comfort. It makes me think that I would not get used to them and cause more pain than comfort. These may work for you if you need high firm arch supports. I have thick ankles, but the strap was so long anyway that it was on the ground. If it drags on the ground, I doubt the end of the strap will last as long as it should. I sent these back so I never walked around in them. I can only review them from trying them on. I knocked off a star for the overly long strap.Excuse my left toes. They don’t look like that. I must’ve curled them under while I bent all the way over to take a pic.

Comfortable
This is my first pair of Chacos. I bought these and the ones with the big toe strap (thong like). I personally like these the best. I put lots of miles on them on a trip. There was no problem with them staying on my foot while climbing around and being in the water ( that's why I got the thong type-concern of flopping around on my foot). The adjustable straps on both styles let you keep them in snuggly. After my trip, I'm a Chacos girl. 😉

My FAVORITE summer shoes!
They didn’t fade in the sun at all, and I got tan lines finally from wearing these shoes every day this summer! (I’m a redhead so this is impressive) They are stiff at first but very easy to break in! You’ll have to adjust them until they fit well and loosen. Can take rocks, and whatever other wear and don’t fall apart. Walked all over mexico in them for almost 50,000 steps! Could walk anywhere in them-and I have almost everywhere! They fit amazing and didn’t give me blisters at all. Plus black matches with everything!
