Used for supporting an RV bed. According to directions, bed lift weights 69#. Installed according to directions. Secured to 3/4" plywood on one end and 2"x4" on the other end using the factory supplied brackets. Moving the brackets was necessary as they were replacing identical sized struts that were rated for a lesser weight and wouldn't support the bed. Upon trying to mount the new higher weight struts I discovered that they would not support the bed using the original angles. I re-weighed the bed to verify my original determination. Then I installed the new brackets to correspond to the angles in the directions. They support the bed without issue now. However, I am skeptical about the longevity of the mounting brackets as they bend slightly under the weight of the bed when raised. I would think they would fail under rated capacity or may fail in this application over time.

This worked perfect for the teardrop trailer galley.

Missing a quarter of the hardware, only come with two nuts when it needs 4, and no washers but i’m not sure it even was supposed to come with those. Otherwise it worked as expected.

I followed the installation instructions exactly and when I finished they would not hold my dock box top open. I repositioned the tkp mount about 2” higher on the top and they are perfect! Seem very sturdy but only time will tell!

Package arrived with two struts. No brackets, nuts or installation guide. Useless to me…
