Super satisfied with purchase of my KB12!
I’ve been wanting to try a Hartke bass amp for a while. Finally, decided to purchase and I am extremely happy with it! I’ve used my solid, reliable 15” Fender TKO for over 25 years. The KB12 is less than half the weight of my old amp but packs plenty of power! I was reluctant going from a 15” to a 12”, but not an issue at all. I use my amp for small to mid size venues without running through mains most of the time. I just used my new KB12 in a church with around 150 people playing with a full band. It had plenty of low end and volume with room to spare. I got several compliments on the sound from my band and audience. Absolutely Love the variety of tones and clarity! If looking for a great amp for practice, small and mid size venues, don’t hesitate with this lightweight powerhouse.I will say, if playing large venues, or outdoors, you will want to use the direct output and run through house, or need a larger amp. This amp would probably lack the low end needed to fill a larger venue, depending on your style. It’s perfect for my use and so lightweight and portable! Would purchase again!!

Small, yet packs a punch
My Hartke KB12 weighs as much as my practice amp, yet is 10x more powerful. You can use this amp in a club or bar and not get lost in the sound of a rock n roll band. So light to carry, and 500 watts!

Best 40 lbs ever!
At 500 Watts, and only 40 lbs - this gives me just what I need for cranking it up on stage, and sending a clean clear signal to the board without breaking my back, or the bank. Love,Love, LOVE this amp!

Very happy with this little POWER HOUSE of an amp
Very happy with this little POWER HOUSE of an amp. I found mine at the local pawn shop. $85 and a little bit of love later this puppy was rumbling the walls again. You can’t beat Hartke gear.

Great amp for price
Love this amp! I use it for small and medium size venues and it's got plenty of power to fill the space. It's tones is tight and warm, with almost no distortion at high volumes. It's light enough to carry in with one hand, which is very convenient for gigging small venues. It kind of looks like you're playing out of an old tv when it's not in the kickback position, so that always makes for funny conversation. Overall, this is a great amp for the price.

Hartke gets it right!
I love everything about this amp. Compact size, Great Power (Loud without distortion up to volume 8), versatile tone settings, articulate high end without the harshness of some tweeter type combos. This is not a tube amp but I am able to dial in some "Ampeg" type sounds by dialing up the contour control. Dialing the contour control back yields more modern "Jaco" style tones. The tone controls are very responsive. I wish there was effects send and return.... But for the price there is a lot of bang for the buck from this combo amp.

Great little amo
Fantastic little amp. Wish I had one 40 years ago I have been playing bass in bands since the early 60's. Most amps were big and bulky and were low power and distorted. I purchased this amp along with the older 120 watt version . Since I have used the kb12 for practice in 2 different bands but more recently used in a band reunion that over 200 people attended and another bass player used it and I was amazed how the sound of this little 27 pound thing carried! Again one of these would sure be great back years ago! Dickydoo
