Good product
Unit works great motor is powerful enough to make good ice cream. Motor has a feature that it will shut off when ice cream gets too thick to turn. Also comes with a hand crank system so you can make ice cream by hand. Cleans real easy, a little bit noisy side but hey your not making ice cream indoors.

Pretty good Hand Crank
Its the classic ice cream maker, hand crank, directions are clear, anyone can use it! It also has a motor but I was more interested in the hand crank for it, love the product!

LOVE it!
There is nothing like homemade ice cream. I used to make it with my grandpa growing up and have fond memories of it so I decided to get one myself. I love how this one includes BOTH a hand crank option for the classic ice cream making experience and an electric option to speed things up a bit. It includes an aluminum bucket and and the wooden barrel bucket seems to be good quality wood and looks great. There are many great ice cream recipes online but it also includes some in the manual. Great ice cream machine and a great experience for younger kids!

Not Elite, Not Gourmet — Just a Waste of Money!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
I purchased the Elite Gourmet brand ice cream maker in August of 2022 and have only used it five times, four if count using the motor. After the second use, the nameplate fell off, and the metal around the bucket was already coming loose. That should have been a warning sign, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt since that was mostly cosmetic.By the fifth use, the motor stopped working. The power light came on, but the motor would not run. I had to churn the ice cream by hand, and then the handle broke off while doing that!I only make ice cream once or twice a summer, so this unit was barely used. My previous machine lasted 18 years — this one failed after just a few light uses across three summers. Also, It arrived in a plain brown box with no instructions. I knew how to use it, but the lack of basic documentation felt careless and cheap.I now see many reviews mentioning motor failure, and I can confirm: THEY ARE VALID!!!In summary, there is NOTHING “Elite” about this product! It is overpriced, poorly built, and completely unreliable. I regret not returning it sooner. Actually, I regret giving my money for this product.Save your money. Buy something else.

Easy to use, easy to clean up
We’ve made homemade ice cream before, but never with a machine. After watching a video, we quickly learned how to use it; while the written instructions were fine, I find videos more helpful. The manual option was fun the first time, but we’ve been making a lot of ice cream lately so we now just set it up and walk away. The inner container has plenty of space for a large batch. My kids and I have had fun experimenting with various flavors and techniques, sometimes even on the same day. So far we’ve made vanilla, cookies and cream, strawberry, and salted caramel. With multiple uses and different recipes, we've had no issues, and once we figured out the setup for the first batch the rest for quick and easy.Cleaning the inner container is easy (and it’s not heavy, so not an issue when full), allowing us to make a few batches of ice cream without needing to refreeze the container again. The outer bucket has some weight but isn’t really heavy which is a plus when you’re trying to clean out the salt, ice, and water. A lot of use and everything has held up just fine.I expected us to use this as an occasional thing, but since it’s been easy to use we’ve been using it regularly. I’m looking into ice cream containers so we can store a few big batches.

Simple to use
I bought this for our 4th of July. It was a total hit. This one came with the hand crank and a motorized crank. We make Ice cream all the time now.
