Bought this having seen some of the promotional videos on YouTube. Love the idea of a secure, form fitted case for the A6xxx series. However unfortunately there is no foam padding included in the top lid of the case as seen in reviews and reading some other comments it seems this is now the new norm.Kind of defeats the object of the case in my opinion as there's ample support on the bottom of the camera but only a thin layer on the top. I wouldn't trust this to survive a knock without the foam. Unfortunately while the case is well made and a perfect fit, the lack of the foam padding kind of defeated the purpose for me.

Good case but very misleading many photos and reviews show with foam in the top flap of the case. (There is blatant Photoshop to the product images removing this foam). The case is incredibly well made and I have no doubt it will protect my camera but still leaves a bitter taste in the mouth when you order something and it comes different to photos and reviews.

Awesome item. Perfect size and as described, highly recommend!

UPDATE 22 August 2019:The customer service team with GoScope contacted me soon after I left my original three star review (below) to explain to me that I had received a *newer* version of the customized case for Sony A6400 mirrorless camera. The newer version, they said, is engineered to not require the foam insert for the lid that I had been expecting. To demonstrate their concern and good faith, however, GoScope said they would send me a foam insert (with 3M adhesive) from the "old style" case, but ALSO a copy of the older case so I could use whichever one I prefer! Folks, you can't do customer service much better than that. In my original review I said that the case is well made and rugged. My problem with it has been fixed --in a friendly, helpful, and timely manner. So....Five Stars._____________________When I first looked at this item I could have sworn that the photo illustrations showed a foam insert in the "lid" --the part that closes over the top of the camera. I looked at the Bergsma video on Youtube (see my screen capture from that video and another), and sure enough, there was a foam insert in those videos as well. The case that I received did not have one; I don't know if I got a used case or a dud from the factory. When I looked at the case on Amazon again just now, the photos look as if the foam insert has been blacked or blurred out. The case is well made, but no foam in the lid obviously reduces the drop or vibration security of my A6400. The $45 price tag seems steep if that's the new normal. The insides of the case are molded to cradle an A6400, of course, so the camera won't be rattling around, but now I think the Bergsma video might be misleading. As it is, I don't think I could drop my $900 camera body and $500 lens in this case and expect them to survive the fall. Anything to say about this, GoScope?

I've been searching for a small case to carry my A6300 with lens on that I can easily throw in my husband's backpack once I got tired afters hours of carrying it around at theme parks. I then found a youtube video from Micbergsma/Goscope Alpha (for Sony A6000, A6300, A6500) and I immediately fell in love with the GoScope Alpha case. I ordered that morning for same day delivery...thanks Amazon!My first impression is this case has such a tight fit that it won't house my A6300 with Sony 18-105mm lens & hood. I took off the lens hood and zipped it up, but I was concerned that something inside will snap or the zipper will break loose. I reached out directly to Goscope regarding my concern and almost instantaneously, I received a response from Kyle. He assured me that this bag was designed with form fitting nylon and neoprene and that the zipper won't give out due to neoprene surrounding the zipper allows it to expand. So without hesitation, I placed the lens hood back on my 18-105mm lens (backyard only) and applied a bit of pressure to get it to close. Kyle advised that I leave it in the case for several days for the form fitting to adjust, but I'm too restless to wait that long. I opened the case after just a few hours and Kyle was right! The case is so much easier to open and close with my big lens. I even attached my soft silicone camera body cover and a slim camera strap (both purchased from Amazon) and I didn't have to apply too much pressure to get it to close. I didn't stop there, I decided to play around with it further.My A6300 with 10-18mm lens attached and my 16-50mm kit lens both fit nicely in the case with no problem. I also tried 10-18mm lens with a couple of batteries and worked as well. Although, the batteries did rattle as expected due to small battery size, but adding a micro fiber should fix that. I no longer doubt this product, I'm actually keeping it. I've only had it for a day and both form fitting and zipper have loosened up that it's no longer a struggle to close it.
