Works perfect!!
Used within hour of receiving. Did great smooth job on 3 holes. Did perfect. Nice kit in strong package. If I every need to would purchase again. Bolts went right in after using

Right for purpose
I needed to retap some poorly cut threads on a fabrication made in China. Poor workmanship. Work perfectly for that purpose at a good price.

Low quality, but functional
You get what you pay for... these are cheap, and low quality. I bought these for specific sizes of taps and dies for chasing dirty threads. Cheaper than buying individual sizes, and I did not need something ultra-strong. Good thing I didn't try to actually cut threads... while chasing threads on some grade 5 bolts of various sizes, all the dies except one ended up chipping. I was still able to finish the job, since I was just cleaning threadlocker off the bolts.The taps work ok, again for light thread chasing. There is no T-handle for the taps though, which is a disappointment. The included straight handle is functional, but requires a lot of clearance, so I couldn't use it.I would not buy these again if I had known how bad they are.

Frighteningly poor quality
It's really hard to convey how poorly made this tap and die set is. I use inexpensive tools all the time and I'm perfectly pleased with what I get for the money. This thing, however, is utter garbage. I wouldn't take it if it were free. The tap and die handles are very cheap and feel like they'll break at the slightest strain, very rough screws that feel like the threads are full of sand. Bargain bin tools from Harbor Freight feel like something from Mitoyo or Starrett compared to this crap. I'm guessing that the actual taps and dies will wear out with just a few minutes use, although I'm not going to give them a chance. This is being returned immediately.

Does what it’s designed to do
Purchased this set to repair a cylinder head on a classic car. The pitch was a good match and cut the thread well. The cutting tools are machined cleanly and have no but’s. The hand tools are a bit cheap and flimsy. But at this price range it’s accepted.Will be more than enough for occasional use.
