Q: What is the globe made of?

From the Movaglobes.com website: “Each globe has a transparent outer shell. This external layer remains stationary while an internal one spins using advanced magnets for torque and solar cells to power the movement.” With this in mind, I can only assume that is made from an acrylic or plastic material. More detailed information can be obtained from the company through their website.

Q: Is the Titan mova globe true color, false color or exaggerated color?

The image of Titan used in the MOVA globe is based on infrared telemetry data from the Hyuugen satellite. It is not a true-color image of Titan from space. If you take a true-color picture of Titan from space, all you will see is a big orange ball because it is covered in a thick layer of organonitrogen. So the MOVA globe is not what Titan looks like from space in a telescope. It is more of a representation of what it would look like if you could see through the orange haze.

Q: Is it an accurate celestial sphere?

Each of the 88 constellations recognized by the International Astronomical Union are depicted using a series of star shapes, dots, and lines to give the impression of varied distances and sizes.

It's a round plastic coated ball that sits on an acrylic base. It only turns in sunlight for me (indirect). It's seems highly breakable it's certainly not a toy. I'm quite happy with it
