Q: Does this press work good? Will the hinges rust?

Solid, will last forever. Treated it with bees wax. I use saran wrap on both surfaces when making tortillas, so no stick and easy clean. Silly to worry about the hinges the only replaceable part.

No, not at all. It's a very nice press. I absolutely love it and the quality is excellent.

Q: Do i get thin tortillas with this press or will do the rolling plus, to get a proper one?

It makes tortillas as thin as you want them to be without pressing or rolling them first. You just put then on as balls between two sheets of plastic wrap and press down. Plus the press itself is a beautiful work of art that guests will fawn over. It makes an amazing gift as well that is both beautiful and totally practical. I use mine at least once a week for both tacos and enchiladas. Burrito shells still have to be rolled by hand -- of course.
