Excellent
I bought this book to try to understand macroeconomics, so growth, GDP, inflation, real and nominal, supply and demand, cross border trade, balance of payments, deficit spending a la Keynes, national and international economic relationships, etc. This author is a superior communicator and teaches the subject so well. I would recommend this excellent introduction to macroeconomics to anyone like me who needs to understand it without getting in too deep. Five stars from me.

Amazing book.
This is very far from my field of knowledge. The book is easy to understand for a lay person, especially with some googling of terms. Gives a great overview of macroeconomics. This book is great if you want to understand the basics of marco without going into many details.

Not a textbook, which is its real strength
I was looking for a text that would introduce people to Macroeconomics concepts and ideas without being a Macroeconomic text book. I did a number of web searches and this book kept coming up as recommended. When I got it and flipped through it, I did not see the graphs and other things I expected -- still with a text book mentality. So I started reading and at first the language is academic. Talking about Output, etc. But after reading the first chapter and allowing my self to take it all in, the book's value comes out. Yes its a bit academic and macro economics has some big concepts, but if you give the book the time to read through part 1, then you will understand more. The books principles and ideas are timeless, but David Moss does a nice job of including commentary on the 2007 recession and the economic policies followed.Overall recommended for people who want to know more about how the macro economy works and make better sense out of the economic headlines.
