FOR ARTISTS : It's the best and affordable arm stand for a Cintiq 16
If you have a cintiq 16 and considering to buy this stand, read everything, you'll thank me !So I have a dual monitor set up with a 16' cintiq on the left and a 32' monitor on the right, and this arm stand is just amazing and really does what I was expecting. There are very few tricky cons I'll talk about but the stand was not originally made for a cintiq, so it's expected. The good part is that I can just push and pull the whole stand in front of me or far from me whenever I need to do draw or if I just want it as a secondary monitor near my biggest one. When I'm using it for drawing, there is room under my cintiq, so I can fit my keyboard without any placement issue while drawing, compare to the original wacom stand. Since it has an arm, i can really adjust the angle and height of my cintiq with accuracy, and speaking of height I found it actually way better to have the possibility to pull the cintiq just in front of you so you can naturally keep a good posture while drawing, so no back problems ! On the top of that, it's very sturdy and doesnt jiggle while you draw, you can also ajust the firmness however you like. Now for the bad stuff : The stand is very heavy so it's not super convenient to move the whole thing everytime from close to far on the desk area, I'll try to put some little metal stickers wheels under the stand to see if it can help with this. Then another problem is that the screws to fix the monitor on the VESA are way to long for a cintiq and you'll damage and break your cintiq if you tighten the screws too much, the best solution for this would simply be to have the good size screws. But if you don't have that and you are down to do a bit of DIY like I did, you can try to place a bunch of metal rings in the scew in the free space between the cintiq and the VESA, And I've also insert a square of 1 cm thick foam on the middle part, so the foam is compressed between the cintiq and the VESA, it adds some sturdiness and some shock absorbtion at the same time.

Didn't understand the arm tension adjustment at first
Assembly was straightforward and the directions were adequate.I couldn't figure out how to adjust the arm up or down and have it stay there.I had to push down firmly on the arm with my whole hand to lower it, and it would just pop right back up again. Based on some reviews here, I thought maybe I had to get it in the desired position and then try "locking" it with the hex nut adjuster, but that didn't seem to be working either.I understood that it loosened in one direction and tightened in the other, but I had no initial notion of what the total range of turning should be in either direction. I very quickly came to the end of adjustment at the "tight" end, so I started "unwinding" it to the loose end and just kept going. And going. And it didn't really seem like it made any change to the behavior. Maybe I didn't have to push QUITE as hard to make it go down, but it still sprang right back up instantly. So I cranked it some more, and kept going. and going. and going. and going. No, really, this went on forever (in awkward little half-turns with the hex wrench). And finally! it had been loosened enough that I could get the desired behavior out of it - easily lowering or raising the arm, with it remaining in place on its own!The PROBLEM, apparently, was that my monitor, at about 5.86 pounds, is just way LIGHTER than what this stand can support, and the arm tension had been set very close to maximum upon arrival, and for such a lightweight monitor, I had to back the tension off waaay waay down the scale just to get that free articulation. If I'd been mounting a 25 pound monitor on here, it would have responded much sooner at higher settings, with that greater starting weight.I suppose the point of this is that I had actually worried for a moment that maybe they'd sent me a defective one, until I finally realized that it's actually just a lot more robust than I'd even expected! If your monitor is very light, you may need to loosen the tension considerably before the arm works as intended. The weight of the stand is good, and it comes with rubber feet under the base, no contact between desk and surface or screws. The rotation (swivel) of the arm (on the base) is easy and smooth. The articulation of the arm is ideal for the specific place this will be used. We're very pleased with the purchase.

Works great for a 10.1 in laptop.
I did plan on using the whole arm but the first section doesn't go down or up and it was to tall to fit under the shelf. Very simply to remove it. It works great without it.As the 3rd picture shows, I did actually cut the laptop tray. Otherwise the computer sticks out about 2 inches. (it's a 1 x 10 shelf) I cut it off and now the laptop is flush with it.Also noting I can't use the strap included as the lid of the laptop has rubber around it and that strap would cause it not to close. I did put a piece of velcro on the bottom.Another note, I did have to really tighten the gas spring to support the laptop. It weights 3 lb 14 oz.Things they should include: velcro, for people who can't use the strap, and zip ties, so you can tie your wires to the tray so they are not hanging down. I happened to have both those, so it's not a problem.
