Q: I presume the 2.25 inlet dia in the product discription refers to the inside diameter of the end of the pipe. What is the outside dia of the pipe end?

Correct! The inlet diameter is 2.25, as it is made to have a 2.25 outlet diameter stainless steel exhaust pipe slide right into it. The outside diameter is approximately 2.375, according to my dial caliper. Hope this helps!
